Apparently, to protest tax day tomorrow, the Teabaggers are now trumpeting to the lamestream media what they are referring to as "The Tea Party Contract From America."

Here is a list of 10 principles that the Teabugger's contract is "seriously" stating must be prioritized in order for America to survive:

1. Protect the Constitution
2. Reject Cap & Trade
3. Demand a Balanced Budget
4. Enact Fundamental Tax Reform
5. Restore Fiscal Responsibility & Constitutionally Limited Government in Washington
6. End Runaway Government Spending
7. Defund, Repeal, & Replace Government-run Health Care
8. Pass an ‘All-of-the-Above” Energy Policy
9. Stop the Pork
10. Stop the Tax Hikes

Hmmm . . . let's analyze shall we?


1. Protect the Constitution: oh you mean like how Bush and Cheney protected the Constitution by using it as their authoritarian doormat for 8 years? Bite me.

2. Reject Cap & Trade: wingnut code speak for "global warming is a hoax!", willfully ignorant of the facts and the reality that 95% of the world's climate scientists say otherwise.

3. Demand a Balanced Budget: Bwahahahaha! Oh that's beautiful! Bush and the GOP inherit a $280 million dollar surplus from Bill Clinton and proceeded to bankrupt the country. Tell me why it's a priority for you all now, and even more importantly, why I or anyone else should give a shit what you think!?

4. Enact Fundamental Tax Reform: most Americans paid less in taxes this year - what's wrong with that??

5. Restore Fiscal Responsibility & Constitutionally Limited Government in Washington: another Bwahahahaha! do you fucking people really believe the bullshit you spout??

6. End Runaway Government Spending: unless there's some small, ass-backward country with brown people, a conscripted army, and no air force or navy in it that we can invade and bomb to smithereens right? right?

7. Defund, Repeal, & Replace Government-run Health Care: of course, because 40,000 unneeded American deaths due to lack of access to basic health care and 35 million citizens with no health care whatsoever does not constitute any semblance of a moral or fiscal cost to the country whatsoever! (I swear these Teabaggers ranks swell with morons).

8. Pass an ‘All-of-the-Above” Energy Policy: they say "All-of-the-Above" but in actuality they mean solely "Drill Baby Drill" - and the cycle of dependence on Mid-East oil is not abated and the human journey down the rabbit hole to climate Armageddon merrily continues on it's way.

9. Stop the Pork: this is probably the one principle we can reasonably agree on - but once again I ask where were these voices of concern during the Bush years when the GOP had control of all three branches of government plus the executive and spent America into the poor house?

10. Stop the Tax Hikes: [see principle no. 4] Obama has pretty much kept his promise that a majority of Americans would see their tax burden reduced this year so I ask the question again -- what the fuck is wrong with that??


Alright - time for an uninhibited moment of 'truthiness' ok?


America, in the bizarro world-view of your average Teabagger, appears to have "lost it's way" at the precise moment that the skinny Black Democrat from Chicago gained 8 million more votes than their chosen candidates. True or false? I've yet to have a single conservative say 'false' to that question and back up their answer with anything remotely resembling honesty or coherency. But what can one expect from people who refuse to acknowledge the fact that three fourths of the current $11 trillion dollar national debt was incurred under Republican Presidencies?

If it seems like I am being smugly dismissive of this shiny new Teabagger "contract from America" - it's because I am. 8 fucking years of standing mutely on the sidelines watching Bush, Cheney and the GOP flag waving fuckheads drive the American Dream bus off a cliff and only NOW do these people see there's a problem?? I've made my views known about these Johnny-come-lately Teabaggers quite bluntly in a few recent posts and those views have not fluctuated - they can all Go Fuck Themselves.

Oh -- so these days it's being called the SRLC - Southern Republican Leadership Conference. They've come a long way since it was simply known as a gathering of the Ku Klux Klan.

Reality truly does have a liberal bias . . . .

Steve Benen has a post up at The Washington Monthly that hit home for me. Worth the read - [Click Here]. Here's an exerpt:

It's not especially surprising, of course. Reading this, it's hard not to think of the Ron Suskind classic when a senior adviser to then-President George W. Bush dismissed those who "believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality.... That's not the way the world really works anymore. We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality."

If today's conservative Republicans reject reality, it stands to reason that they'll reject history, too.

But it's nevertheless a reminder of why conversations with those immersed in a right-wing ideology tend to be rather frustrating, if not futile, experiences. In order for political discourse to have any meaning or value, there have to be certain agreed upon facts that serve as a foundation for the dialogue. But as the McClatchy piece notes, that foundation is no longer stable -- conservatives frequently choose to believe versions of events that aren't real, because the make-believe version makes them feel better.

BINGO! This describes exactly the dilemma I find myself up against when I make any attempt at reasonable dialogue with right-wing friends or family. Facts are inconvenient things to them, even more so if those facts undermine the bedrock beliefs in whatever inanity they choose to ascribe to.

I've semi-retired from trying to bridge this intellectual gap -- perhaps after Obama's term ends and they see that Armageddon didn't occur and that not a whole helluva lot has changed in their lives, maybe (big qualifier type maybe) then they'll stop and genuflect on what intransigent assholes they've been and we can take another shot at the sane, civilized discourse thing. That's all I can hope for.

MOUNT DORA — A doctor who considers the national health-care overhaul to be bad medicine for the country posted a sign on his office door telling patients who voted for President Barack Obama to seek care "elsewhere."

You know what I have to say to this "good doctor" and to the Army officer who is refusing to obey orders because he wants to see Obama's birth certificate, and to the 'gubmint' is evil clowns who are ripping up their census forms, and the Republican state Attorney's General who are vowing to sue the federal government over the constitutionality of the Health Care Reform bill, and to the right-wing screechers who are using the not-so-subtle threats of violence as a means of protesting their displeasure with the current political party in power, which happens to not be theirs ---- to all of you I say GO FUCK YOURSELVES! That's right - GO FUCK YOURSELVES, AND FUCK YOURSELVES 10 WAYS FROM SUNDAY!

The GOP and rightwing are great for crowing, "elections have consequences, elections have consequences, neener, neener!" when their chosen political party wins and is running the show. Well that works two ways fuckheads. Obama and the Democrats not only won the last election, they decimated the GOP and the right-wing message of fear and hatred. Get over it! And if you all can't get over it and you instead choose to not play by the long established rules of America's participatory democracy --- well, that's your choice --- and you can GO FUCK YOURSELVES for all I care.

Therefore, until you whining, tantrum throwing, pants wetting right-wing fucktards make an official announcement that you will all GO FUCK YOURSELVES, I would kindly request that you all just STFU and let the adults get on with the critical business of getting this country back on the road to peace and prosperity.

High ranking GOP Congressman lies with impunity . . . . does anyone care? Fuck yes - I do!

In an interview with TPM, a Richmond Police Department spokesman said the bullet that penetrated a window in a building that includes a campaign office of Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA) was "an act of random gunfire."

"What we were describing yesterday in fact describes an act of random gunfire," said Public Information Manager Gene Lepley.

Cantor held a nationally televised press conference yesterday in which he said, "Just recently, I have been directly threatened. A bullet was shot through the window of my campaign office in Richmond this week." He said he has been targeted not only because he is a member of Congress, but also because he is Jewish.

But a police statement on the incident, which occurred early Tuesday morning, suggested that someone had fired a bullet up into the air and it went through the window of the building on the way back down. While it went through a window, it did not penetrate the blinds, according to the police.

A Cantor spokesman did not immediately return a call for comment.

Here's the scenario - Right-wing, GOP House Whip Eric Cantor hears about several news reports of Democratic lawmakers lives threatened and acts of violence at Dem lawmakers offices, and even one attempt on the lives of a Democratic Congressman's brother's family. And so what does he do? In a childish attempt to blunt the criticism of the GOP's blatant acts of inciting the right-wing, teabagging, birther jerks, he goes on national television, looking all serious looking and sounding, and literally makes up an insinuating lie about he himself being a direct target of violence by his political enemies. What a fucking tool.

But ladies and gentlemen, and I've been saying it for years, --- Eric Cantor truly is the mind and face of your modern day Republican party. The party of shameless assholes and serial liars.

And if people like Cantor are the kind of people you want running the country -- all I can say is you can count on me and this shitty little blog being around for a very, very, long time.
