Evil people . . . and the evil that they do

All the more reason to bust up the health insurance industry's grotesque little monopoly, send their sleazy, multi-millionaire CEO's packing and once and for all implement a single payer national health care system -- which is what every fucking other civilized, industrialized country on the face of planet has already been doing for years.

(Reuters) - One after another, shortly after a diagnosis of breast cancer, each of the women learned that her health insurance had been canceled. First there was Yenny Hsu, who lived and worked in Los Angeles. Later, Robin Beaton, a registered nurse from Texas. And then, most recently, there was Patricia Relling, a successful art gallery owner and interior designer from Louisville, Kentucky.

None of the women knew about the others. But besides their similar narratives, they had something else in common: Their health insurance carriers were subsidiaries of WellPoint, which has 33.7 million policyholders -- more than any other health insurance company in the United States.

The women all paid their premiums on time. Before they fell ill, none had any problems with their insurance. Initially, they believed their policies had been canceled by mistake.

They had no idea that WellPoint was using a computer algorithm that automatically targeted them and every other policyholder recently diagnosed with breast cancer. The software triggered an immediate fraud investigation, as the company searched for some pretext to drop their policies, according to government regulators and investigators.

Once the women were singled out, they say, the insurer then canceled their policies based on either erroneous or flimsy information. WellPoint declined to comment on the women's specific cases without a signed waiver from them, citing privacy laws.

There you go Sarah Palin --- there's your true fucking death panels --- greedy insurance industry executives and their penny counting computer algorithm programs.

I beg any one of my Tea Party friends to defend these horrible pricks and their greed based health delivery system. Begging!!

Bible Thumping Terrorists in our midst . . .

This is why I don't want these sanctimonious fuckheads anywhere near the levers of government power:

Last month, AFA bloggers wrote that federal employees “can be shot” for passing health reform, which they termed a “MussoliniCare bill.” While the views of the AFA are certainly fringe, the influence AFA enjoys within the Republican Party is widespread. During the health reform debate, Republican lawmakers joined with AFA representatives for a “Prayercast” to kill the bill. Top Republican legislators, from both the House and Senate, often appear on AFA affiliated radio to attack President Obama and concoct conspiracies about his agenda.

Yeah --- because that's what Jesus would do you know --- put a bullet in someone's head as punishment for voting for Health Care Reform.

The American Family Association wingnuts truly are no different or any better than the Taliban and quite frankly, as long as the Republican party considers them a legitimate voting bloc and an integral segment of their political base - all the more reason to keep the Democrats in power (as lame-ass as they may be).

Idiocy is not a virtue . . . .

It's an unwritten rule and perhaps therein lies the disconnect. If you are going to go out and publicly proclaim your political views for or against this issue or that issue and/or rail against a certain politician -- at least have the courtesy to actually know what the fuck it is you stand for and have a semblance of capability to support your statements with coherent facts culled from a learned knowledge of the subject at hand. Simply regurgitating mindless fuckwad talking points that your favorite AM radio ranter or FOX News personality pounded in to your pea-sized brain impresses me not a whit.

My god these people are truly pathetic creatures:

'Tain't' dat a shame . . . .

Not a parody - unfortunately.
At the House hearing, state Rep. Ed Setzler (R-Kennesaw), who is shouldering the legislation in the House, spoke earnestly for better than a half hour on microchips as a literal invasion of privacy.

He was followed by a hefty woman who described herself as a resident of DeKalb County. “I’m also one of the people in Georgia who has a microchip,” the woman said. Slowly, she began to lead the assembled lawmakers down a path they didn’t want to take.

Microchips, the woman began, “infringe on issues that are fundamental to our very existence. Our rights to privacy, our rights to bodily integrity, the right to say no to foreign objects being put in our body.”

She spoke of the “right to work without being tortured by co-workers who are activating these microchips by using their cell phones and other electronic devices.”

She continued. “Microchips are like little beepers. Just imagine, if you will, having a beeper in your rectum or genital area, the most sensitive area of your body. And your beeper numbers displayed on billboards throughout the city. All done without your permission,” she said.

It was not funny, and no one laughed.

“Ma’am, did you say you have a microchip?” asked state Rep. Tom Weldon (R-Ringgold).

“Yes, I do. This microchip was put in my vaginal-rectum area,” she replied. Setzler, the sponsoring lawmaker, sat next to the witness – his head bowed.

“You’re saying this was involuntary?” Weldon continued.

The woman said she had been pushing a court case through the system for the last eight years to have the device removed.

Wendell Willard (R-Atlanta), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, picked up the questioning.

“Who implanted this in you?” he asked.

“Researchers with the federal government,” she said.

“And who in the federal government implanted it?” Willard asked.

“The Department of Defense.”

“Thank you, ma’am.”

This is the unsurprising sum result of allowing the Glenn Becks of the world to dominate the public discourse and the public airwaves.

Just saying . . .

Ohhh -- that's gotta hurt . . . . LMFAO!

The TeaBaggers really don't have clue how they're being used like a $5 hooker by the GOP poobahs. Kind of sad if you think about it.

If they really cared about America's future . . . . .

Why are conservatives and the GOP running interference for this traitorous scum?

By JOE BEL BRUNO, FAWN JOHNSON And JOSEPH CHECKLER
The Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday charged Goldman Sachs Group Inc. with defrauding investors, alleging that Goldman let a big hedge fund fill a financial product with risky subprime mortgages and then failed to disclose that to the product's buyers.

The SEC said in the civil complaint that Goldman and Fabrice Tourre, then vice president, created and sold opaque collateralized-debt obligations, or CDOs, that hinged on the performance of subprime-mortgage-backed securities.

I'd really like the Tea Party folks to coherently explain that one to me.

If any single group of people bears the brunt of blame for the economic meltdown in this country it's the big Bankers and the Wall Street thieves. But the GOP doesn't want to look into their ponzi scheming and most certainly do not want to force the white collar con artists to change their way of doing business in an effort to curb abuses and fraud.

After closely observing the Tea Party movement since their inauspicious conception within weeks of Obama's inauguration, I get the distinct feeling that they are much more interested in Obama's birth certificate than they are in holding accountable the suit and tie institutional criminals who have financially ass-raped this country this past decade and set America's economic progress back 40 years.

And that's why I mock them and will continue to mock them. Running around with "Obama is Hitler" signs isn't going deter the next sleazy hedge-fund operator from looting your company, city or county pension fund or decimating your 401k. In fact -- those guys love that buffoonery -- it keeps the media attention riveted on the absurd instead of the crime deeds being perpetrated in the name of free market capitalism.

Fair and Balanced my ASS! (ver. 13, 131)

The FOX News execs are only "furious" because they were caught red-handed taking a steaming dump on what little remains of their journalistic credibility. That and the likelihood that some form of FCC corrective action was going to be the outcome, generating even more negative publicity for their "News" organization - and we all know, corporate investors hate negative publicity about their cash cows.

I mean c'mon --- how the fuck could they not know about this:

Like I've stated all along -- if the FCC simply disallows them from using the word "News" in their organization name, that would be fine with me .. they can spout all the bullshit lies and right-wing propaganda they want then and I wouldn't give a rat's ass. But while they keep calling themselves a "News" organization while simultaneously acting as a marketing arm of right-wing politics, I'm going to keep bashing the shit out of them, even if it is painfully redundant.

GFY - - a movement grows . . .

Jon Stewart tells the media frauds at FOX to Go Fuck Themselves (no really he does - just watch the clip - lol). At least I'm ahead of the Stewart curve on this one - I've been telling the wingnuts to Go Fuck Themselves for the past 3 weeks and I'm feeling kinda proud one of my very rare media heroes has seen fit to validate my cherished rantings.

Contract shmontract!!

Oh this is just too goddamn rich!

Apparently, to protest tax day tomorrow, the Teabaggers are now trumpeting to the lamestream media what they are referring to as "The Tea Party Contract From America."

Here is a list of 10 principles that the Teabugger's contract is "seriously" stating must be prioritized in order for America to survive:

1. Protect the Constitution
2. Reject Cap & Trade
3. Demand a Balanced Budget
4. Enact Fundamental Tax Reform
5. Restore Fiscal Responsibility & Constitutionally Limited Government in Washington
6. End Runaway Government Spending
7. Defund, Repeal, & Replace Government-run Health Care
8. Pass an ‘All-of-the-Above” Energy Policy
9. Stop the Pork
10. Stop the Tax Hikes

Hmmm . . . let's analyze shall we?

1. Protect the Constitution: oh you mean like how Bush and Cheney protected the Constitution by using it as their authoritarian doormat for 8 years? Bite me.

2. Reject Cap & Trade: wingnut code speak for "global warming is a hoax!", willfully ignorant of the facts and the reality that 95% of the world's climate scientists say otherwise.

3. Demand a Balanced Budget: Bwahahahaha! Oh that's beautiful! Bush and the GOP inherit a $280 million dollar surplus from Bill Clinton and proceeded to bankrupt the country. Tell me why it's a priority for you all now, and even more importantly, why I or anyone else should give a shit what you think!?

4. Enact Fundamental Tax Reform: most Americans paid less in taxes this year - what's wrong with that??

5. Restore Fiscal Responsibility & Constitutionally Limited Government in Washington: another Bwahahahaha! do you fucking people really believe the bullshit you spout??

6. End Runaway Government Spending: unless there's some small, ass-backward country with brown people, a conscripted army, and no air force or navy in it that we can invade and bomb to smithereens right? right?

7. Defund, Repeal, & Replace Government-run Health Care: of course, because 40,000 unneeded American deaths due to lack of access to basic health care and 35 million citizens with no health care whatsoever does not constitute any semblance of a moral or fiscal cost to the country whatsoever! (I swear these Teabaggers ranks swell with morons).

8. Pass an ‘All-of-the-Above” Energy Policy: they say "All-of-the-Above" but in actuality they mean solely "Drill Baby Drill" - and the cycle of dependence on Mid-East oil is not abated and the human journey down the rabbit hole to climate Armageddon merrily continues on it's way.

9. Stop the Pork: this is probably the one principle we can reasonably agree on - but once again I ask where were these voices of concern during the Bush years when the GOP had control of all three branches of government plus the executive and spent America into the poor house?

10. Stop the Tax Hikes: [see principle no. 4] Obama has pretty much kept his promise that a majority of Americans would see their tax burden reduced this year so I ask the question again -- what the fuck is wrong with that??

Alright - time for an uninhibited moment of 'truthiness' ok?

America, in the bizarro world-view of your average Teabagger, appears to have "lost it's way" at the precise moment that the skinny Black Democrat from Chicago gained 8 million more votes than their chosen candidates. True or false? I've yet to have a single conservative say 'false' to that question and back up their answer with anything remotely resembling honesty or coherency. But what can one expect from people who refuse to acknowledge the fact that three fourths of the current $11 trillion dollar national debt was incurred under Republican Presidencies?

If it seems like I am being smugly dismissive of this shiny new Teabagger "contract from America" - it's because I am. 8 fucking years of standing mutely on the sidelines watching Bush, Cheney and the GOP flag waving fuckheads drive the American Dream bus off a cliff and only NOW do these people see there's a problem?? I've made my views known about these Johnny-come-lately Teabaggers quite bluntly in a few recent posts and those views have not fluctuated - they can all Go Fuck Themselves.

Teabagging Mediocrity . . .

Oh -- so these days it's being called the SRLC - Southern Republican Leadership Conference. They've come a long way since it was simply known as a gathering of the Ku Klux Klan.

For all of the warm and fuzzy highlights - [Click Here]

One of the most precious moments of the gathering occurred when a GOP wingnut was introducing Sarah Palin. His dry reference to her "mediocre" rise in politics screams of truthiness. Here's a lovely video clip of the blessed incident.

"Snake oil science stuff" -- YOU BETCHA!

It's incomprehensible to me how anyone who possesses even the ever so slightest amount of reason and intelligence can stand listening to this smarmy twit's blathering for more than a minute.

Just knowing that 25% of my fellow Americans believe it would be a brilliant idea to elect this beauty pageant, "aww-shucks!" bubble-head to the most powerful position in the free world makes the hair stand straight up on the back of my neck.
