Why Do Right-Wingers Hate America and Democracy?

On the heels of my "Home-Grown Fuckheads" post comes this lovely news item from yesterday :

Gunman Kills Top Arkansas Democrat (evil librul) Arkansas Democratic Chairman Bill Gwatney Shot Three Times In Party Headquarters.

Gee -- where have we heard this story before?

The Anthrax attacks in 2001 targeted then Democratic leaders (evil libruls) Tom Daschle and Patrick Leahy and mainstream (evil librul) news outlets. Coincidence?

A gunman opens fire in a Unitarian Universalist (more evil libruls) church, while children are singing in a choir, killing and wounding several parishioners. Right-wing, liberal bashing reading materials from hate-mongers Michael Savage, Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly are later found in the killer's home.

A 2005 U.S. News & World Report article documented approximately (60) right-wing terror plots that had been foiled over the 10 year span since the right-wing bombing in Oklahoma City in 1995 which killed 168 innocent men, women and children. Many of these plots were designed to cause mass human carnage on the scale of the Oklahoma City killings.

Here are some well known (except by those who choose to turn a blind eye and ear) and well documented quotes from right-wing heros and mainstream media stars:
"I tell people don't kill all the liberals. Leave enough so we can have two on every campus -- living fossils -- so we will never forget what these people stood for." (Rush Limbaugh)

Or

"My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times building." (Ann Coulter)

Or

"I'll tell you who should be tortured and killed at Guantanamo -- every filthy Democrat in the U.S. Congress." (Sean Hannity)

Or

"To fight only the al-Qaeda scum is to miss the terrorist network operating within our own borders ... Who are these traitors? Every rotten radical left-winger in this country, that's who." (Michael Savage)

Of course you need not be a Rhodes Scholar to figure out that the word "kill" along with references to the words/phrases -- "living fossils", "New York Times", "filthy Democrats", "terrorist network ... within our borders", "traitors" -- in these quotes -- are all right-wing code for EVIL LIBRULS.

Gee Inspector Gadget, do you think there's any possible link to the aforementioned murderous events and the instigative, hateful statements on the public airwaves by the right-wing media stars and the subsequent, gleeful promulgation of those murderous statements across the internet and blogosphere by their brain-dead followers?? Hmmmm??

Which leads me to an all-too obvious question.

Can anyone show me the equivalent of a mainstream liberal television or radio pundit, with the stature and following, of a Michael Savage or Sean Hannity or Rush Limbaugh making similar death threats against conservatives? Doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo, doot-doo-doot-doo-doot-dee-doo (Jeopardy them music plays). Ok. Times up. You can't do it. Hasn't happened. Oh sure you can find similarly vile threatening screeds on obscure internet blogs but nobody reads them - and for good reason. Whereas the words of the Limbaughs, the Coulters, the Savages, the Hannitys, the O'Reillys, the Becks, the Boortzes, ....ad infinitum.... can be found every hour of every day and at any time on just about every radio, cable television and newspaper outlet in this country. And make no bones about it -- these people do represent the mainstream Conservative movement in this country. For if they are not spokespeople for the Conservatives, then where's the public condemnation and repudiation of their hateful statements by the leaders of conservatism? Yeah right -- I rest my case.

And that folks, plainly speaking, is why I will not shut my mouth about these people and will continue to demonize them. For demons, logically observing, are quite deserving of being demonized.

Invasion of the Pod-People . . .

Holy Fuck -- and I mean that in the entire literal sense.

This congresswoman Michele Bachmann is from my home state of Minnesota I'm ashamed to say. To put it bluntly, what she is stating here is - fuck the planet, Christ died on the cross 2000 years ago for your sins and if you don't believe in him too fucking bad for you and the rest of humanity - you're all gonna die soon anyway so you better get your heathen asses saved real quick!

I've been one of many stating for years (to anyone who dares listen) that the group of people formerly known as the Republican party of Eisenhower and Barry Goldwater, along with their entirely honorable and pure conservative ideology, has been sideswiped and run over by this speeding bus filled with zombified, bible-thumping, raving lunatic, body snatchers who see politics and political power solely as a means to hasten their depraved end-time religio-fantasies. These modern-day Republicans in Lamb clothing do not give a rat's ass about politics, much less this country's future. They have no desire or intent to govern in order to better the predicament of their fellow Americans and America or lead the way in the world to help ease the burdens of human despair. On the contrary -- they want to see as much human suffering and social chaos as is possible because it fits quite neatly in with their macabre world view that cataclysmic occurrences and apocalyptic humanitarian disasters are necessary planetary events, and by proxy, clarion calls for their Lord and Saviour Jesus H. Christ to return from the dead and carry them up into the clouds to assist him with his rule over the remainder of earth's minions for eternity. Why an all-powerful, omnipotent cloud being needs millions of pint-sized helpers to perform his heavenly chores escapes my logic, but these people are not known for questioning the questionable or thinking for themselves for fear of sowing doubt amongst their well-trained, obedient flock.

Michele Bachmann is batshit insane to be sure. And if she and her kind were an innocuous and powerless, fringe element of our society (kinda like Celine Dion fans) I wouldn't lose sleep over them at night. But truth be told, there are a whole helluva lot of them and their destructive influence extends into every facet of American society and government. People take them and their pernicious movement lightly -- oblivious to the danger of doing so.

It's too bad that the honest Christians in America are in the minority. Their selfless good deeds and charity, their adherence to Jesus Christ's true teachings, and their abhorrence with mixing church and state affairs offer a dishearteningly faint glimmer of hope for a better future and a democracy that serves all equally.

Home-Grown FuckHeads

What scares me most about an Obama victory in November is not the childish right-wing, pants-wetting fears that Obama is a closet Muslim who will take the Presidential oath of office with his hand on the Koran, and, who wants to eliminate christianity (a noble thought to be true, but let's get real), convert us all to Allah lovers and, force our women to wear burkas, our men to wear keffiyehs and our children to enroll in madrassas.]

When? -- When will the people of this country fucking grow up??

[ LINK ]

No -- nor am I frightened by the irrational wingnut shrieking about how Obama is the brown-skinned reincarnation of Karl Marx who plans to turn America into a huge socialist, hippie commune, force everyone to wear bell-bottom jeans, tie-dye t-shirts, have weekly, communal Kumbaya sing-a-longs and will replace the Department of Defense with a new cabinet position - the Department of Peace & Terrorist Appeasement.

And I absolutely break out into uproarious laughter every time I read some imbecilic right-wing screed claiming that if Obama is elected he's going to throw our borders wide open to hordes of illegal immigrants from all over the world (but especially them thar goldurn beaners), confiscate all of our guns, destroy our military (as if Bush hasn't done a good enough job of doing that himself), nationalize all our major industries, and turn the executive branch of our government over to the U.N.

No -- I must admit -- I am not afraid of a single one of those asinine, demented, and juvenile fears coming to pass if this country is fortunate enough to see Barack Obama elected President. These things do not register so much as a faint blip on my worry radar. And to put it bluntly -- the right wing and their piss-ant followers have never had much of an affinity for this thing normal people call reality.

However, what does scare the shit out of me if Obama is elected is exactly what's in this news article here --- some immature, hate-filled, ignorant gun goon, with delusions of Aryan martyrdom, acting out his premature-ejaculation fantasy of appeasing the KKK and Hitler gods by giving Obama the grassy-knoll treatment.

You want to see anarchy and real bad times come to this country? Well -- the violent elimination of a popularly elected President would be a pretty good catalyst for bringing that about dontcha think?

Of course, it's kind of hard for me to blame this guy entirely. He's only 22 years old and I'll go out on a limb and guess that he was probably raised in a strict, fundamentalist-religious, conservative household who's parents home-schooled him, and who was fed a steady, daily diet of hate-filled radio and tv programming from Rush Limbaugh, Michael Savage, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Glenn Beck, Neal Boortz, Bill O'Reilly, and the rest of that sickening cesspool of fascist dreck.

But fear is all the GOP and the conservatives have any more. They have no ideas, no vision, no heart and no spirituality in their ideology or their politics. They remind me of spoiled brat children who throw tantrums when they can't have things their way. They're vindictive and selfish and would sell this country down the river in a heartbeat if it increased their financial bottom line or upped the value of their stock
dividends.

Here's to faith --- not the divisive, negative kind, but faith in humanity -- faith that we can do what's right in the world, reject Bush-world secrecy, lies, and criminality --- embrace truth. And all you fucking assholes who think i'm a John Lennon Dreamer ---- fuck you --- your view of the world is 45 X negative than mine is.... I got faith that your kind will be soon be extinct -- and the planet will be better off.
