LOL! If you're not a Borat or Da Ali G Show fan or a fan of Brit comedian Sacha Baron Cohen's stuff, don't even bother watching this video clip. If you are a fan though, OMFG! Lol. This movie is going to be a fucking hoot. Thank god there's still someone out there who's not afraid to poke their stick in to the proverbial hornet's nest of human ignorance, prejudice and stupidity -- and make us all laugh at our pathetic species in the process.

New Age Mafioso = Your Friendly Neighborhood Banker
William K. Black is an unimpeachable source on the subject of the adulterous behavior between politicians and the financial industry in this country. This guy has first hand experience at seeing the criminal enterprise that Corporate America and our elected representatives have built up over the decades through the work of his regulatory career and as deputy director of the National Commission on Financial Institution Reform, Recovery and Enforcement overseeing the investigation of the Savings & Loan scandal/rip-off that occurred during the Reagan years.
In this clip on Bill Moyers Journal, Black more or less let's the cat out of the bag on how hopelessly and frighteningly corrupt America's political and economic infrastructure has become. It's a wholly bipartisan cancer which is coursing through the veins of this country's lifeblood. To say this video is deeply depressing and infuriating is a colossal understatement. Truthfully speaking, we all collectively had better start asking the question -- is there any hope for America's future? I for one am truly beginning to have my doubts.

They Want Their Failure and They Want it Now!
AP Headline: Unemployment soars to 8.5 pct.; 13 million jobless
This folks - is the face of failure as a nation.
<---------[CLICK ON CHART FOR LARGER PICTURE]
This is what the GOP's de facto leader Rush Limbaugh is hoping for.
It's what GOP House Caucus Chairman Rep. Mike Pence is hoping for.
It's what the GOP's 2012 great dark hope, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, is hoping for.
It's what a great many Republicans are hoping for quite frankly.
They can nuance it all they want but it doesn't change the stark naked selfishness of what they stand for. If Obama fails, the GOP will have gained their political ammunition and talking points for the next election - and really that is all that matters to them. Never mind the sad and frightening fact that America as a collective entity fails along with Obama and many good, hard-working people will be irreparably hurt in the process. That horrific prospect simply does not register as a negligible concern to the party that shamelessly cheered on and abetted George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and company as they drove America into the proverbial ditch these past 8 years and left a colossally fucked up country and world for the adults to clean up.
My own daughter was laid off today after 5+ years of loyal service to her company. No thank you, no heartfelt "sorry!" - just a pink slip and her final paycheck. Very similar to what the GOP poobahs did to America as the Bushies were leaving town -- they gave us all pink slips and walked off into the sunset, smirking and beating their chests about how great they were and how ungrateful we little people were not to appreciate their greatness.
Anyhow, good fucking riddance they are gone - that is truly something to be grateful for. And we now have true, mature leadership in charge - leadership whose policies obviously will not please all of the people all of the time, but at least they aren't wholly-owned assets of corporate-whore America and the insanely foolish religious/neo-con right. That alone makes for both progress and hope.

Friday Night 'M-Vloggin' -- with The Tubes
Lord knows there were some truly mediocre alternative, or new wave "rock" bands (think 'Tears For Fears' or 'Oingo Boingo') that spawned out of the hell pit known as the 1980's music scene. The Tubes, however, were not one of them. A fun band, that made fun music (and pretty damn good music) and really just sailed thru that very eccentric decade, leaving the other new wave groups in the dust of their laughing success. Hats off to "Quay Lewd" and the boys with this song -- one of my faves by The Tubes - 'Talk To Ya Later'.
W T F? ? ?
US banks that have received government aid, including Citigroup, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan Chase, are considering buying toxic assets to be sold by rivals under the Treasury’s $1,000bn (£680bn) plan to revive the financial system.
The plans proved controversial, with critics charging that the government’s public-private partnership - which provide generous loans to investors - are intended to help banks sell, rather than acquire, troubled securities and loans.
So let me see if I understand this correctly --- the sleazy riverboat gamblers who sold America down the river for personal, monetary gain and were subsequently bailed out with OUR tax money are now considering using that bailout money (OUR money) to buy up the mountainous pile of shitty "toxic" assets which THEY created and which got this country (and the world) into this horrific financial crisis in the first place? Really? Well fuck me in the ass with a ribbed wooden dildo! The genius of it all!
Umm -- Barack buddy -- we need to have a little talk pal. I mean I voted for ya and all and still believe you were the best choice by a Sarah Palin mile, but dude -- you seriously [SERIOUSLY!] need to get a handle on the Richie Rich bobbsey twins Geithner and Summers -- and soon. Because if you don't, you're going to start losing some of that gushing good will that your supporters and defenders have been extending to you since your election.
Just saying . . .

April Fools -- Always Fools . . .
This story pretty much confirms everything I've been saying about the mental instability and intellectual handicap of the far right wingers for the past several years.
The level of gullibility, idiocy and hate for Obama that would be needed for people to believe that Obama would do something like this is astoundingly mind-numbing.
Btw -- I enjoy watching NASCAR -- to the extent that I'll quote George Carlin: "where else am I going to see a 23 car collision and not be in the sonofabitch?"
Anyhow, seeing the right-wing-tards go postal over an April Fool's joke like this is comedy you simply can't make up. Makes me almost (almost) want to take back statements wishing they'd disappear from existence. Upon reflection, perhaps it would be best to keep them around -- if anything for the comedic value they provide on a consistent basis.

Fox Pundit Suggests It's Ok For Right Wingers to Murder American Law Enforcement People . . . Really!!
"Those crazies in Montana who say we're gonna kill ATF agents because the U.N.'s gonna take over, (chuckle), well -- they're beginning to have a case . . ."
It truly is a horrific ordeal watching a once proud political party devolve into a gelatinous mass of political dementia. Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, etc., with Rupert Murdoch's blessing, are single-handedly turning the GOP into a giant cult of goose-stepping mouth-frothing cyborgs with a very bad case of paranoid personality disorder.
I mean seriously -- at what point does it become acceptable to go on a national television outlet and postulate that the cold-blooded murder of American law enforcement men and women is an acceptable way for someone to express their emotionally pent-up political dissent? Dissent by the way, which by any sane measure, appears to be based on nothing more than one deranged group of people's own fevered imagination? Seriously.
Can you imagine the blood-curdling, spittle spitting outrage from conservatives if Michael Moore or Sean Penn or Keith Olbermann went on American cable t.v. airwaves and made the same statement that this fucktard Dick Morris made? Holy BatShit! The righties would be screaming for their "evil librul" heads on a platter and gleefully tossing around words like "traitor" and "anarchist" and "terrorist" with vitriolic abandon. They'd be calling for their arrests and clamoring for their indefinite incarceration and torture in "Gitmo." The hue and cry would be deafening!
Wow! Just wow. This one nearly left me speechless. Nearly.
God I'm so sick of these fuckers. Really I am -- just truly, truly sick.

Comedy Central -- Funny News People Can Use ...
Thank the deities that be for fearless comedians. Once again, it takes someone who's primary job it is to make people laugh to speak some truth about a certain segment of our society and their faux populist agenda. In this case, Stephen Colbert disembowels Fox News' resident Tin-Foil mad hatter Glenn Beck and his bed-wetting followers. It's a brilliant, devastating take-down. Too bad that our corporate-whore media is much too cowardly to confront the forces of ignorance and stupidity like Beck and friends.
