Donate to Tsunami relief charities . . .

Here's a website with a good list of reputable charities to donate to for victims of the Asian tsunami this past weekend.

Don't donate because you feel pressured or obligated, or guilt-ridden if you don't. Do it because your heart tells you it's the right, decent and humane thing to do.

I personally have donated to Doctor's Without Borders --- they're a fantastic organization and very reputable.

Here's the website with the lists of charities:

G.W. Bush - - Faux Christian . . . .

Worth printing in it's entirety here. An expose' on the phony Christian Bush and his phony right-wing religious worshippers. It's also a pretty fair explanation as to why I'm not a Christian -- too many like Bush's ilk claiming ownership of the faith.

Here it is courtesy of AMERICAblog:

Bush is not a good Christian by John in DC - 12/30/2004 01:48:26 PM

If President Bush wants to flaunt his Christianity, invoke it to defend his policies and use it to promote legislation like the anti-gay constitutional amendment, then it's fair game for us to consider just how good a Christian President Bush really is.

The devastating Tsunami this past weekend, and Bush's reaction to it, prove beyond a doubt that this man is hardly a good Christian.

Bush's first reaction on hearing of the devastation, as leader of the free world, should have been to immediately annonce that the US was taking the lead in coordinating disaster relief. When we've already spent over $200 billion on Iraq, we shouldn't have said we were committing $15m to the relief effort, we should have announced the creation of a billion dollar global fund and called on all the nations and private citizens of the earth to come together and help finance it. He should have called on all the liberal and conservative donors to both presidential campaigns, red state and blue state, to put aside their differences and donate to this worthy cause.

But he didn't.

Bush stayed on vacation and had a deputy press secretary, not even his real press secretary, answer questions on the disaster. Not until 5 days after the disaster struck, and after news reports indicated the death toll was approaching 100,000, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, not until after the Washington Post ran a story saying that Bush was being criticized for ignoring the humanitarian crisis did Bush finally speak publicly on this matter.

I return to the issue of Bush's Christianity. A good Christian would be mortified by the death and destruction in the East. Occuring just a day, ONE DAY, after Christmas, his heart would go out to the millions of lives affected by this tragedy. He'd demand his aides come up with an immediate Marshall Plan for helping Asia. He'd go on TV immediately to convey his condolences - not simply because it's the right thing to do, but also because we're dealing with a region of the world where such ceremony and attention to such public statements are given great weight. He'd do it not only because it's the right thing to do, but because the disaster has struck a region of the world with the largest Muslim population on the planet. Indonesia is the largest Muslim country in the WORLD. They have been the worst hit by this disaster.

Imagine the political and public relations impact of the United States coming to the rescue of the world's Muslims during our own high holiday.

Alas, it never happened.

It never happened because it's something a good Christian would do. It's something a good church, a good faith, would do. It's something that any decent human being, let alone a decent person of faith, would do. But it's not something that George Bush did, and it's not something that the religious right in America did. You didn't hear Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell organizing any telethons to help the dead and dying. You didn't hear the religious right demanding the White House get more involved to help the devastated. No. Hurricane Gay is a call to arms for the religious right and this president, but Tsunamis in Asia killing over 100,000 people? Not so much.

George Bush is a bad Christian and a bad president. And the religious right and their pseudo faith in God is right there along side him. One wonders if the reaction would have been different had the victims been European and Christian. And white.

Hackworth says Bush/Cheney/Rove hate our troops . . .

America's most decorated living soldier, Col. David Hackworth, tells the ugly truth about King George and his merry court of yes-men jesters and how they've managed to take the world's most powerful military left to them by Bill Clinton and turn it into a bedraggled, exhausted and rudderless entity.

But then, we all know that red-state America believes their bible-thumping boy-king can do no wrong -- right? Fucking moron Americans ---- will they ever pull their heads out of their pious asses long enough to see the truth and error of their actions?!

Proof that crime does pay -- if you are a GOP political operative that is . . .

There was a time in this country when a story like this would be front-page headlines and people would be outraged.

However, since Republicans have consolidated their grip on political and media power it's simply a ho-hum little back-page story that simply adds another name to the long list of GOP political and business pondscum who've enriched themselves at the expense of Joe Public taxpayer dollars.

It's also behavior which is, quite frankly, par for the course for the Bush administration ---getting rewarded for incompetence, malfeasance and traitorous actions while in public office.

Click here and gag on this story.

American morals -- as projected by Bush, Inc. . . . .

Here's some good old fashioned, conservative, Republican, Bush/Cheney/Rove moral values for you.

The King George administration pledges a measly $15 million in aid to Asian countries devastated by recent 9.0 earthquake which thus far has claimed 45,000 human lives -- click here.

Yet,

They somehow are able to come up with $30 - $40 million to stuff the fat-cat faces of their corporate whore donors and political cronys at Bush's sleazy inauguration and ball in January -- click here.

And these are the same moral values defenders who insist that a black woman's nipple exposed for a millisecond on national television is immoral??? What the fuck is wrong with this picture???

I'm sticking to my guns about loving this country, but I'm beginning to hate it's people and it's phony, hypocrite-inspired, anti-humane culture.

KKK Prom Queen? In red-state America, it's not beyond realm of belief . . .

You know --- because of the age of the individual at the center of this story (a graduating high school senior), I might be tempted to muzzle my true feelings and words here.

Fuck that.

This stupid bitch might just as well have worn her daddy's Ku Klux Klan, point-headed bedsheet to the prom. When will these fucking southern rednecks get over the FACT! that their stupid, bigoted, bible-thumping, intellectually-challenged, cotton-growin' asses got the shit kicked out of them in the Civil War?

Fucking retards!! I'm so sick of them. Instead of building a wall between U.S. and Mexico, how about a wall between America and the the reddest of southern red-states?? Would suit me just fine and dandy thank you!

War-mongers like Energizer batteries -- they keep going, and going, and . . .

As if the Bush Iraq qwagmire wasn't going badly enough, now the idiot squatters in the White House are poking their sticks into another hornet's nest -- Syria.

If Americans voted for Bush because they envisioned the next 20 years to be non-stop wars, sacrificing tens of thousands of our brave military, the homeland economy ruined while defense and energy conglomerates suck money and lifeblood from us, and making us the most hated empire on the planet since the days of the Romans, then by all accounts those Americans, at least as it appears from this article, are going to get their just reward.

Christians fearing Christians -- Life in America today . . .

You know it's a bad omen for this country when even the true christians begin to fear the motives of their right-wing religio-whacko brethren and their zeal for control.

Some more of those Cult of Bush, red-state moral values. A story certainly not to be expounded upon by Faux media populists like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Jerry Falwell.

Bill O'Lielly update . . .

Bill "Spin Drone" O'Reilly has his loofah twisted in a knot again.

He's raging against David Brock's organization - www.mediamatters.org - calling them "the most vile, despicable human beings in the country."

Wholly understandable though, considering the FACT that MediaMatters continues to studiously document and publish O'Reilly's constant spate of lies, slander and misinformation across the airwaves via his FOX television show and his radio show.

How anybody in their right mind can put any faith into this lying flatulent gasbag O'Reilly's views simply astounds me. I guess P.T. Barnum was right when he said "there's a sucker born every minute."

From living in a foxhole to living in a cardboard box. . .

Another story about America's "disposable culture." Only this time the disposable commodity is homeless Iraq military vets.

Once again --- who really supports the troops in this country??

They were, and still are, expendable . . .

Another horrific example that the Bushistas have bestowed upon America. Being a military vet myself, this story just burns me up.

Who really supports the troops?? The phony flag-wavers of the moment or those who were brave enough to stand up in the beginning and beg the war-mongering Bush crowd not to send our kids off to die in their bogus, deceitful oil war??

The moron-America crowd has a lot of blood on their hands. I hope the bastards sleep comfortably at night.

Another faux GOP witch hunt in the making . . .

A couple of my red-state conservative pals recently tried to goad me into an argument over the alleged corruption in the UN-administered oil-for-food program.

They had their panties in a bunch over this faux scandal and were actually thinking they had me over a barrel on the issue and were looking for the nearest oak tree to string U.N. General Secretary Kofi Annan from.

Sometimes you have to wonder at the level of stupidity and rank hypocrisy which courses through the cold veins of today's conservative ReThuglicans.

Here's (scroll down a bit) a great response to the allegations against Annan and the U.N. - - - - -

ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THAT GUY, BUT NOT THOSE GUYS!

House Republicans -- some of whom presumably don't care for the United Nations, period -- are in high dudgeon over alleged corruption in the UN-administered oil-for-food program. Some of them are calling for Kofi Annan's resignation, and more:

Rep. Scott Garrett (news, bio, voting record), R-N.J., said stepping down may not be enough for Annan.

"To me the question should not be whether Kofi Annan should remain in charge," he said. "The question is whether he should be in jail," he said.

Garrett and four other Republican lawmakers spoke at a Capitol news conference in support of a bill that would withhold some U.S. dues to the United Nations if the organization doesn't fully cooperate with investigations of the program.

Three other Republicans, Rep. Vito Fossella of New York and Reps. Dan Burton and Mike Pence of Indiana also said Annan should resign. The bill's sponsor, Rep. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., declined to join them, saying he didn't want calls for Annan's removal to distract from the oil-for-food investigations.

Separately, another lawmaker, Rep. Roger Wicker (news, bio, voting record), R-Miss., said he would introduce a House resolution calling for Annan's resignation.

"These allegations of corruption and mismanagement have seriously undermined Mr. Annan's credibility and his capacity to head the U.N.," Wicker said.

I know I'm more or less wasting my time to expect any consistency from these guys, but still, for the record: None of these guys voted against the DeLay Rule allowing GOP leaders indicted for a criminal offense to retain their posts. Rep. Garrett, who thinks perhaps Annan deserves to be in jail, took $15,000 from DeLay's PAC. And more to the point, I don't see them making a fuss over the 27 separate criminal investigations into Coalition Provisional Authority contracts in Iraq, involving millions of dollars of fraud and waste of taxpayer money. No outrage at all, really, no calls for accountability or resignation, let alone jail time for those at the top.

It's easy to see what's really going on here, of course. As the left-wing pinkos at the Financial Times put it today:

The witch-hunt against Kofi Annan and the United Nations over the Iraq oil-for-food scandal is, quite simply, a scandal all on its own. The leaders of this lynch mob in the US Congress and the rightwing commentariat are not gunning for Mr Annan so much as aiming to destroy the UN as an institution. That would be a disaster - for all of us, including, especially, the US. ...

First, the oil-for-food policy was devised and run by the member states of the UN Security Council, not by the UN Secretariat. All of the roughly 36,000 contracts were approved by a Security Council committee dominated by the US and the UK. Of these, about 5,000 were held up. But objections were entirely about imports to Iraq that might have offered Baghdad dual-use technology with which to reconstitute its weapons programmes. There was not one objection about oil-pricing scams, although UN officials brought these to the attention of the committee on no fewer than 70 occasions. ...

If the independent inquiry headed by Paul Volcker, the former Federal Reserve chairman, finds any UN official complicit in Iraq's roughly $4.4bn oil price skimming, then that person should have his diplomatic immunity lifted and be prosecuted. But there is nothing here to be laid at the door of Mr Annan, even though the lobbying activities of his son Kojo, who was still receiving severance payments from a company seeking Iraq's trade after oil-for-food started, will have hurt him.

Well said.

As to my dear conservative acquaintances and their zeal to bash the U.N. - - -

well -- what do you expect from these hordes of uninformed ditto-heads, Hannity hacks, and O'Reilly boot-lickers? When those three serial lying, millionaire pundits comprise one's sole source of news and information, it's quite easy to see why my friends are so stupid.

End of discussion of this subject. I win.

We don't need no 'steenkin Social Security!! . . .

The "moral values" folks (aka red-state) America, had better wise up and educate themselves as to what George Bush and the Republicans have in mind for Social Security.

Bottom line is unless they're lucky enough to fall into the "elite-rich" category of wage-earners, it's them and their kids who are going to get ass-reamed in the future by these greedy pricks currently in power.

More faux moral values . . .

More of the Bush/Cheney/Rove, conservative, moral values legacy -- stealing fair and hard-earned money from bottom of the rung laborers. I wish some conservative asshole would try to explain the morality behind this to me.

Is this the future the conservatives have in mind for this country? If so, it's just a matter of time before the GOP's mandate for class-warfare turns into outright violence in the streets -- pitting the marginally poor and truly oppressed against an ever shrinking middle-class and the marginally rich. Perhaps when Americans see their Police and National Guard shooting down their neighbors, friends and family for fighting for their basic human rights will we all see finally see the ugliness of what the conservative movement is truly all about.

Red-state America and the Republican party have connived themselves into believing that they, and only they, are the political party and people of the moral and virtuous.

Liberal, progressive America has been sucker-punched, insulted and lied to long enough.

I dare one fucking conservative to justify their argument that Bill Clinton's lying about a consensual sexual affair harmed this country more than George W. Bush sending our military men and women to war over a shit-load of lies.

I triple dog-dare u conservative pricks to make that argument! You boatload of uneducated, biblical-prophecying, stupid fucking morons. Yeah -- that's right -- you heard it.

Actonian Republicans . . .

"Power tends to corrupt, and abolute power corrupts absolutely."

---- Lord Acton 1887

Does anyone believe that once the Republicans gained control of all branches of government that they wouldn't begin to put safeguards in place placing themselves above the law??

Silly people.

Passing legislation changing the rules to protect one of your leaders in the event they are criminally indicted has got to be the mother of all hypocrisy as well as the classic definition of absolute corruption.

Another red-state dip-shit alert!! . . .

Here's another one. Devout fundamentalist Christian and Republican steals money meant for Georgia kids' educational needs.

Don't expect much of an outcry from Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, and the rest of the smirking conservative morals brigade.

Oh god how I miss worrying about where Bill Clinton's next blow job is coming from . . .

And here.

Red-state dip-shit alert!! . . .

Another example of those Republican "moral values" that the red-staters want to shove down everyone's throats.

Must be nice to have an annual salary of $150,000, plus all the other benefits of being on the government payroll and still have taxpayers fund $100k in tuition for your kids.

And yet -- this is the kind of politician the moron-America crowd considers "their kind of guy."

This country is fucked.

I feel so much safer now . . . .

Fucking amazing! Only in the upside down, bizarro world of neo-con moron Republicans could this take place.

The person in the Bush administration that was most accountable for the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001 is rewarded with the nation's highest diplomatic post.

More proof that incompetence, blind faith, and, dysfunctional loyalty trumps sanity and the protection of the American people any day in the mind of King George Dumbya and his cultish followers.

New Axis-of-Evil ------ GOP Senate

A good expose' of the creepy types of politicians that red-state Americans just can't seem to get enough of these days.

One wants to murder abortion doctors, another is a Jew-hating homophobe, a third is a devout "christian" who's rumored to have had a lengthy affair with a prostitute, a fourth is a notorious corporate whore suck-up and environmental pig, and, the fifth is a phony, flag-waving hypocrite who accused his Democratic opponent (a vietnam era military vet) of enabling terrorists and undermining morale of American troops in Iraq.

WHEW!! There you have it in a nutshell - - 5 new Rethuglican Senators ready to re-make American in their loony-tunes, biblically-inspired image. How lovely.

One thing you have to admit though -- those red-state voters sure are consistent when it comes to judging character and integrity in their chosen political leaders. The 5 whack jobs described in this article appear to fit in quite nicely with the current fascist administration and it's democracy-hating policies.

Conservative values --- My ASS!!

So - it's come to this.

This is the kind of country the conservatives have wet-dreams about. Network television cancelling a Veteran's Day showing (uncut version) of Steven Spielberg's incredibly patriotic and emotional picture "Saving Private Ryan."

The reason for the cancellation is because local affiliates around the country are terrified that if they show the movie with all of it's realistic violence and realistic language, some bible-thumping hill-billies will blow a gasket and report them to the FCC and they'll incur hefty fines for displaying "indecency" on the public airwaves.

Of course the answer for the "offended" folks is an easy one. Just cut out every swear word, every violent scene and show the remainder of the movie. Anyone who's seen and is a fan of this movie knows how devastating that would be to the overall substance and quality of the film. It simply wouldn't be worth watching in any other format than it's original uncut version.

This military veteran is so sick and fucking tired of these whining, ass-backwards, biblical prophecy spouting, democracy-hating, taliban-like assholes, I just want to goddamn puke!! It's "SAVING PRIVATE RYAN!!" for Christ's sake!! If these fuckers are allowed to solidify a grip on political power in this country, it ain't going to be much longer before the book burnings begin. The parallel with the Nazis rise to power in pre-war 1930's Germany with what's taking place in America today is goddamn frightening.

I hope America wakes the fuck up soon and stems the tide of this intolerant, hateful religious meddling in government and politics. It's an utterly incestuous relationship that will only hasten the downfall of the Democratic Republic that our founding fathers envisioned for us all. Either way, having already been witness to the cowardice of my fellow citizenry as they meekly succumbed to the Bush/Cheney/Rove fear mongering in this last election, I'm slowly drafting plans to emigrate to an alternate freedom loving country in the event the American Taliban has it's way here.

Let the Reaping begin . . .

To all my smug, pious red-state conservative friends - - just as your holy scripture teaches you -- "you shall reap what you sow."

Being an active participant in a scared-rabbit electorate has got to be the height of cowardly citizenship. Sad to think all those brave Americans who fought and died in WW1 and WW2 only to see the fruit of their sacrifice rot from within by imperalistic fear-mongering, hate-mongering neo-fascists like the Bush/Cheney crowd. Saddens my soul to no end.

This article verbosely sums up some of the combative sentiments I'm feeling at the moment.

You know the routine -- just click here.

Tuesday, November 09, 2004

And a big fucking Amen! to that . . .

I wish I'd been the person to write this gem, but alas, it was written by some other enraged citizen. Anyhow, the sentiments expressed therein pretty much sums it up for me as well . . .

"Fuck the South. Fuck 'em. We should have let them go when they wanted to leave. But no, we had to kill half a million people so they'd stay part of our special Union. Fighting for the right to keep slaves - yeah, those are states we want to keep. And now what do we get? We're the fucking Arrogant Northeast Liberal Elite? How about this for arrogant: the South is the Real America? The Authentic America. Really? Cause we fucking founded this country, assholes. Those Founding Fathers you keep going on and on about? All that bullshit about what you think they meant by the Second Amendment giving you the right to keep your assault weapons in the glove compartment because you didn't bother to read the first half of the fucking sentence? Who do you think those wig-wearing lacy-shirt sporting revolutionaries were? They were fucking blue-staters, dickhead. Boston? Philadelphia? New York? Hello? Think there might be a reason all the fucking monuments are up here in our backyard? No, No. Get the fuck out. We're not letting you visit the Liberty Bell and fucking Plymouth Rock anymore until you get over your real American selves and start respecting those other nine amendments. Who do you think those fucking stripes on the flag are for? Nine are for fucking blue states. And it would be 10 if those Vermonters had gotten their fucking Subarus together and broken off from New York a little earlier. Get it? We started this shit, so don't get all uppity about how real you are you Johnny-come-lately "Oooooh I've been a state for almost a hundred years" dickheads. Fuck off.Arrogant? You wanna talk about us Northeasterners being fucking arrogant? What's more American than arrogance? Hmmm? Maybe horsies? I don't think so. Arrogance is the fucking cornerstone of what it means to be American. And I wouldn't be so fucking arrogant if I wasn't paying for your fucking bridges, bitch. All those Federal taxes you love to hate? It all comes from us and goes to you, so shut up and enjoy your fucking Tennessee Valley Authority electricity and your fancy highways that we paid for. And the next time Florida gets hit by a hurricane you can come crying to us if you want to, but you're the ones who built on a fucking swamp. "Let the Spanish keep it, it’s a shithole," we said, but you had to have your fucking orange juice. The next dickwad who says, "It’s your money, not the government's money" is gonna get their ass kicked. Nine of the ten states that get the most federal fucking dollars and pay the least... can you guess? Go on, guess. That’s right, motherfucker, they're red states. And eight of the ten states that receive the least and pay the most? It’s too easy, asshole, they’re blue states. It’s not your money, assholes, it’s fucking our money. What was that Real American Value you were spouting a minute ago? Self reliance? Try this for self reliance: buy your own fucking stop signs, assholes.Let’s talk about those values for a fucking minute. You and your Southern values can bite my ass because the blue states got the values over you fucking Real Americans every day of the goddamn week. Which state do you think has the lowest divorce rate you marriage-hyping dickwads? Well? Can you guess? It’s fucking Massachusetts, the fucking center of the gay marriage universe. Yes, that’s right, the state you love to tie around the neck of anyone to the left of Strom Thurmond has the lowest divorce rate in the fucking nation. Think that’s just some aberration? How about this: 9 of the 10 lowest divorce rates are fucking blue states, asshole, and most are in the Northeast, where our values suck so bad. And where are the highest divorce rates? Care to fucking guess? 10 of the top 10 are fucking red-ass we're-so-fucking-moral states. And while Nevada is the worst, the Bible Belt is doing its fucking part. But two guys making out is going to fucking ruin marriage for you? Yeah? Seems like you're ruining it pretty well on your own, you little bastards. Oh, but that's ok because you go to church, right? I mean you do, right? Cause we fucking get to hear about it every goddamn year at election time. Yes, we're fascinated by how you get up every Sunday morning and sing, and then you're fucking towers of moral superiority. Yeah, that's a workable formula. Maybe us fucking Northerners don't talk about religion as much as you because we're not so busy sinning, hmmm? Ever think of that, you self-righteous assholes? No, you're too busy erecting giant stone tablets of the Ten Commandments in buildings paid for by the fucking Northeast Liberal Elite. And who has the highest murder rates in the nation? It ain't us up here in the North, assholes.Well this gravy train is fucking over. Take your liberal-bashing, federal-tax-leaching, confederate-flag-waving, holier-than-thou, hypocritical bullshit and shove it up your ass.And no, you can't have your fucking convention in New York next time. Fuck off."

Bill O'Reilly -- world class shmuck o' crite!!!

I've got too many friends and family members who seem to find some redeeming quality in FOX News blowhard Bill O'Reilly. I've maintained for years that he's nothing but a self-manufactured know-nothing who feeds the rubes in this country only what they want to hear.

Aside from that tho, this smug prick was one of the many right-wing shills that blathered on and on about the "evil" of Bill Clinton's dalliance with Monica Lewinsky.

O'Reilly took great pleasure in "monitoring" and commenting upon the the GOP's ill-fated effort to hound Clinton from office over a personal, consensual affair. O'Reilly weighed in frequently with pious opinions of his own on how the "evil Clinton" was destroying America's moral fabric.

Well, it now seems that the shoe is on the other foot. Mr. O'Reilly is now accused of sexually harassing one of his younger female producers.

The young lady in question seems to have quite a convincing arsenal of Mr. No-Spin's transgressions documented --- meaning she probably has tapes. I sure as hell hope so. I'm so sick of these hypocrite right-wingers getting away with shit just as bad or worse than they tried to crucify Clinton with. My fucking gut aches with the desire to see one of their mighty big-mouthed icons brought to his knees. Oh how the mighty do fall!

Live by the mouth, die by the mouth Mr. O'Reilly.

Security experts expose Bush incompetence . . again.

Another in a long list of reality bitch-slaps to the face of Bush and the Republicans and their dirty little oil war. Sad, but true.

However, don't expect the lying bumbler-in-chief or his sycophantic Republican followers to listen to yet another dose of common sense from those who know better.

I repeat -- why do Republicans hate democracy??

Yet another story of pre-election ballot tampering by fascist Republicans. Have these people at long last no shame? The answer quite obviously is -- hell no!!

Why do Republicans hate democracy??

This story of the Rethuglicans trashing democracy in Nevada is probably only the tip of the iceberg taken in the context of a nationwide election.

I hope everyone of these fascist pricks are caught and I hope the story of what they are doing gets national airplay in the media. The fact that they are being funded by the RNC (Republican National Committee) speaks volumes about the GOP's respect for the rule of law and for democratic principles. I've been holding my tongue in not trying to label the current brand of right-wing Republicans as the modern equivalent of the Nazi party, but when you read shit like this it's fucking damn near impossible not to speak the truth of the matter.

If Bush wins, you can almost be certain that once again, as in 2000, criminal, anti-democratic activities perpetrated by and on behalf of the Republicans will almost certainly have been the deciding factor.

Bush dead wrong on taxes?? What a shocker!!

The conservative wingnuts who continue to pledge loyalty to their emperor Bush are indeed an amazing species.

Here you have the world's foremost economists stating that Bush's tax giveaway to the wealthiest Americans not only did nothing to help the middle class or stimulate job growth, but, in reality, has only benefited the super-rich and endangered this country's long-term economic stability. Yet, despite those FACTS staring them in their glassy-eyed faces all the right-wingers can do is screech endlessly about that "evil librul" Kerry and how he's gonna raise their 'goldurn taxes!

If stupidity were a marketable commodity, America could easily sell off enough of it to wipe out Bush's deficits and still have enough left over to salvage us the next-time the doofus electorate puts Republicans in charge of the country.

U.S. Marines in Iraq tell the real story . . .

Here's the story the SCLM (so called liberal media) is terrified of reporting. Marines on the ground in Iraq, just like their Vietnam counterparts 30 odd years ago telling the true story of their government's fuck-up and cover-up.

At some point you just stop hoping beyond hope that the American people will pull their heads out of their asses and learn their fucking lesson of allowing incompetent leaders to deceive them into implementing incompetent foreign policy. And it's precisely at that point where one begins to fear for their country's future.

FOX caught publishing phony Kerry quotes ... pathetic!

This sordid story ought to, once and for all, put to rest the farcical myth that FOX News Channel is anything but "fair and balanced." It also pretty much devastates any journalistic credibility FOX might have had remaining following their last 4 years of Bush cheerleading.

The armchair rubes love this garbage though, along with their Jerry Springer re-runs, - - sad to realize that half your countrymen are fucking braindead couch potatoes.

American courage, like Bush, is AWOL . . .

More death and mayhem in "The Land of Mission Accomplished."

Bush and Cheney have the moron-America crowd so goddamn scared shitless that the sacrificing of a couple more thousand U.S. soldiers in the Bushista Iraq quagmire weighs not an ounce on their cowardly, selfish souls.

I'm still proud of this country, but I despise the gutless citizenry who allow fear mongering by liars and war profiteers to cow them into voting against their own and the country's best interest.

Why does Ralph Nader hate America?

I swear - - if I ever run into Ralph Nader in a dark alley, he better goddamn hope there's a god that will save his sorry narcissistic ass!

Eric Alterman hits the nail on the head in this article.

Can it happen here? It's already started . . .

It's no great secret that most Americans have a notorious and well-documented ignorance of history. Ask your average Joe USA on the street to give a brief accounting of how Mussolini's Fascists or Hitler's Nazis came to power in the years preceding WW2 and your likely to get either a glassy-eyed stare or some goofy, discombobulated answer void of facts and rife with historical revisionist buffoonery.

And that is a sad state of affairs indeed. As the right-wing consolidates it's power in this country, it might do our citizenry well to take the time to learn the root causes which allowed the monstrous regimes of "Il Duce" and "Der Fuhrer" to bully their way to power in pre-WW2 Italy and Germany. We owe it to our ancestors who fought and died to establish this great democracy to do everything in our power to ensure it's long-term preservation. Bush War Czar Donald Rumsfeld mocked "Old Europe" when they failed to sanction or support Dumbya's ill-advised rush to war in Iraq. Rumsfeld, like the rest of the Bush neo-cons, is an idiot of course. "Old Europe" knows all too well the danger that unbridled Nationalism combined with Fascist Imperialism poses to democracy. They don't need no "steenking" advice from the likes of small-minded xenophobes like "Darth Rumsfailed."

This article outlines quite well the price America will pay if we allow "it" to happen here.

Billions and billions and billions and billions . . .

"The Iraq war continues to be a drain on the American taxpayers' pocketbooks. So far, the war has cost the United States $144.4 billion, including $25 billion in the administration's FY05 defense budget signed into law earlier this month. An additional $60 billion is expected in a supplemental request after the November elections. According to the Defense Department, the cost of containing Saddam Hussein over 12 years was only $30 billion."

Reading that opening statement from this article makes me want to weep. How we as a people could just stand by and let a bunch of crooked oilmen and arms dealers run this country's finances into the ground and expend the lives of our hero soldiers like they're worth nothing is beyond my comprehension.

Read the full article here to find out what Dumbya's little Iraq adventure has truly cost America and it's people.

Bush SS troops in action . . .

The Bushies using the Secret Service like their own Nazi stormtroopers?? Why does that not surprise me?

Something terribly wrong is happening in this country. Bush talks about "turning the corner", but I personally am beginning to fear what evil lurks around that corner.

GOP caught fibbing big time! . . .

Another major article dissecting the plethora of lies told at LiarsFest 2004 (aka the Republican National Convention).

It appears, finally, that some in the media are finally getting sick of being lied to on a continual basis by Bush and the Republicans.

Click here and feel what it's like to be told the truth for once.

Hometown press gets red-ass treatment!!

The local conservative rag here in Victorville, CA is called The Daily Press. They're pro-Bushista regime and pro-right-wing GOP. I immensely enjoy picking apart their lame, fact-challenged editorial content. The fact that it's so easy to call them on their lying make's it an especially pleasing task.

After the horrendous speech by Georgia Democratic Senator Zell Miller, (aka Darth Traitor), at the Republican convention the other night, the Daily Press came out with this lazy and vapid editorial .

Here's my gleeful letter in response to the hapless editors of the Victorville Daily Press:

Re: Steve Williams' editorial: Spitballs and Stemwinders:

The editors of the Daily Press once again display their rank amateurism and ethically challenged journalistic standards by lovingly embracing the bile spewed by Democratic Georgia turncoat Senator Zell Miller in his RNC convention speech without so much as attempting to analyze the truthfulness of the charges made therein. For a professional, fair and balanced look at the veracity of old wild-eyed Zell's claims, I suggest the Press's editors check out the fact-checking article by Glenn Kessler in the Washington Post:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A57627-2004Sep2.html

Zell Miller is free to express his opinions. He is not free to lie through his teeth and expect to not be called on the carpet for it. Kessler's article effectively exposes Miller for the fact-challenged dissembler and sell-out political whore he truly is. And this is the kind of "values" the GOP wants the rest of America to emulate? It's even more disturbing that the Daily Press would in turn mislead and disinform their readers by turning a blind eye to Zell Miller's lies and pretending not to notice them. Does the Press exist to inform? Does telling the truth to your readers, whether you like it or not, have any value to you? With editorials like this one it doesn't appear the answer could be anything but "no." For another good take on Miller's libelous and loony speech check out Bob Somerby's http://www.dailyhowler.com/ .

You fellas are in some dire need of a professional fact-checking service. If some high-school educated shmuck like me, who with a computer and a modem, can effortlessly tear your editorials to shreds, imagine what a professional outfit could do to enhance the quality and integrity of your editorial content. But, being that your mostly conservative audience is made up of non-thinking Rush Limbaugh ditto-heads as it is, it must give you some comfort in knowing that you won't be held accountable for printing lies and half-truths anyhow.

Sincerely,

krazeeinjun

Gee - - what a shocker! . . .

Another story about those oh-so wonderful, all-American GOP "family values."

Notice how the Rethugs are more concerned with how the scandal might affect Dumbya's campaign as opposed to whether or not the guy is a scumbag sexual predator?? Nice.

Hypocrisy --- thy name is Republican!

Words of a wise man . . .

Absolutely brilliant article by Garrison Keillor. Ought to be mandatory reading for all.

Here's an exerpt:

"There is a stink drifting through this election year. It isn’t the Florida recount or the Supreme Court decision. No, it’s 9/11 that we keep coming back to. It wasn’t the “end of innocence,” or a turning point in our history, or a cosmic occurrence, it was an event, a lapse of security. And patriotism shouldn’t prevent people from asking hard questions of the man who was purportedly in charge of national security at the time."

Click here and prepare to be awed.

Is this nation drunk? . . .

Damn good question, and a valid one. The political events in this country over the past few years has got to make one wonder what the fuck is wrong with the mindset of the American populace - - -

Allowing a blatantly partisan impeachment of a twice-elected (legally) sitting president over a private consensual affair; allowing a corporate-subsidized, compliant media to paint Al Gore as a serial liar, while (the real serial liar) George W. Bush is depicted as just a good 'ol boy who's a straight shooter; looking the other way as numerous and documented voting irregularities and legal manipulations in Florida by the Bush mafia resulted in a partisan Supreme court ruling which halted the legal vote counting, thus handing the election to Bush; allowing Bush to act like he had a mandate to govern despite the fact he lost the popular vote by more than a half-million votes; giving Bush a free pass on responsibility for the September 11th terrorist attacks, even though it happened 9 months into his watch and he'd been repeatedly warned terrorists were intent on striking America on it's own soil; rushing America headlong into a an ill-advised, unnecessary preemptive war (the first in our nation's history) against Iraq without support from traditional allies, without proof to support their initial rationale for war (WMD's), without a plan to win the peace once the bombing was done, without foreseeing that the invasion would only serve to inflame the Muslim world thus creating even more terrorists, and, without completing their first war in Afghanistan and capturing the true perpetrators of the 9/11 attack, Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda.

Has America collectively lost their ability to reason? Has some form of mass psychosis overtaken our brains inhibiting us from being able to think clearly and intelligently? Have we gone insane en masse?? Are we in truth nothing more than just a bunch of uneducated, t.v. hypnotized, apathetic, war-glorifying, christian-fundamentalist-whacko, all-mighty dollar grubbing, isolationist, Armageddon-seeking fucking morons??

Or, as the author of this article asks, are we as a nation just drunk? Here's an exerpt:

"So, let's see: Bona-fide war hero turned incredibly articulate, educated, gifted Vietnam War protester and respected senator on one side, alcoholic AWOL failed-businessman born-again pampered daddy's boy evangelical Christian on the other. Is this really the contest? Bush slugs gin and tonics like Evian while Kerry is accused of ... what again? Not being incredibly heroic enough? Wow."

The fact that our idiot nation is even taking the Bush smear assault on John Kerry's Vietnam war record with any sense of seriousness and believibility tells me alot about my fellow Americans --- and it scares the shit out of me. The German bourgeoisie (that's middle class for you uneducated rubes) in 1930's Germany exhibited the same apathy, same selfishness, same indifference toward the scourge of fascism in politics, same gullibility to media propaganda, same misguided belief in the vile concept of pre-emptive war, and the same inability to not think that unbridled hubris, arrogance and disrespect for international law, treaties and peoples wouldn't somehow result in the slow, cancerous deterioration of their own democratic foundations. Of course History, a subject most Americans have a woeful cognizance of, shows us exactly what happens when a nation enshrines itself in nationalistic pride, electoral apathy, state-sponsored media and religion, and smug militaristic self-glorification - - - - well, Adolf Hitler isn't here (thankfully) to tell us all about it, but perhaps now you get the picture.

U.S. Navy says Bush and pals are the true liars!!

The United States Navy Task Force is officially on the record as supporting John Kerry's version of the 1969 event in Vietnam that led to his receiving a Bronze Star and his 3rd Purple Heart.

Read it and weep moron America --- click here.

Kerry, of course, has been under attack for the past few weeks by a shadowy, Republican funded, Karl Rove concocted Bush/Cheney front group of former Vietnam Vets called "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth," or SBVT. The group has made numerous unsubstantiated charges that Kerry was either (depending on which liar is speaking which day) undeserving of his medals, or, somehow, in a cowardly manner, schemed to receive them. Some of the SBVT spokespeople and supporters have even accused Kerry of intentionally inflicting his own wounds in order to receive his Purple Hearts and to facilitate an early exit from the Vietnam combat theater.

Now that the Navy has released historical records backing up Kerry's recollection of the events in question, I suppose Kerry's attackers and some of my own dear friends will now breathlessly exclaim that the Navy has gone back and altered official historical archives all in support of some sinister, conspiratorial effort designed to further the Presidential aspirations of the Honorable Senator from Massachusetts.

Well - - here's some well-meaning advice to the conservatives and others who insist on promulgating the lies of the Bush/Cheney/Rove slime machine and their gutless, sellout surrogates in SBVT. Why don't you all take your bumbling litany of lies and your clown posse of hired stooges and stick them up as far up your right-wing, fascist asses as you possibly can!! Then - - take a trip down to Crawford, TX and Bush's ranch and shit it all out right there on the front doorstep of Dumbya's house. Now that's a patriotic act I would heartily consider worthy of effusive praise!! Ha!!

Enough is Enough - - put the fuck up or shut up!!

Some very dear friends of mine seem to think that anything that spews forth from the mealy mouths of radio and cable TV talking heads like Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Neal Boortz, Michael Savage, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, G. Gordon Liddy, Don Imus, Joe Scarborough, Dennis Miller, Michael Reagan, and Bill O'Reilly (or any FOX loudmouth for that matter), is the honest-to-goodness Gospel truth!

For the past few weeks this gaggle of millionaire puppetoon pundits has been giving airplay to and promoting the vile smears and outrageous claims of a group calling itself "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth," or SBVT. SBVT is publicly claiming that Democratic Presidential contender John Kerry has lied about his service in Vietnam, schemed to get the Naval medals awarded him and lied about how he got them, and that he may even have injured himself deliberately in order to get sent home early from the conflict.

For whatever reason, whether out of rank political partisanship, lingering animosity for Kerry's post-combat involvement with anti-war groups, or just good old fashioned American moron uninformed ignorance and gullibility, some of my dear friends seem to want to lend a certain amount of credence toward the libelous and easily disproved stories being tossed around by the SBVT hit-squad.

At the close of this post I'm going to provide all of you with a plethora of well-researched, well-documented and sourced URL articles and websites which thoroughly undermine the credibility of SBVT and prove beyond a shadow of doubt that they are nothing more than bought and paid for liars, political whores and character assassins for the Bush/Cheney/Rove crime family. However - - before we get to the truth telling and red-ass treatment let me weigh in here with a few observations and comments of my very own.

Here are a few basic, irrefutable facts (yeah - I'm daring you to disprove them):

A. After graduating from college, John Kerry volunteered for combat duty in the Vietnam theater, first on a frigate pulling coastal duty, then volunteering for dangerous swift boat duty.
B. George W. Bush used his father's political connections to jump ahead of hundreds of other candidates for a cushy slot with the Texas Air National Guard (ANG). Bush joined the ANG despite the fact he scored in the lowest percentile on his pilot aptitude test. Subsequently, and amazingly, GWBush was given a field officer's commission to 1st Lt. JG without even attending OTS (Officer's Training School).

A. John Kerry was in a combat theater, at the front lines of enemy engagement and according to official Naval records took part in several incidents confronting America's enemy in battle. John Kerry is credited with saving a Special Operations soldier's (Jim Rassman - a Republican) life and earning the Silver Star for bravery in the process.
B. GWBush never set foot on enemy turf. GWBush cannot account for a missing year's worth of his required ANG service. Commanders and fellow pilots at two separate Air Force bases cannot remember ever seeing 1st Lt. GWBush even showing up for routine drills. Unexplainably, GWBush had his flying status suspended (around the time he wasn't showing up for required drills) for not showing up for his mandatory yearly medical exam. Eventually GWBush was able to finagle his way out of his 6 year ANG commitment about a year early, supposedly so he could attend classes at Harvard Business School.

A. The Bush political outfit has a shameful history of smearing true patriotic vets and heroes. They smeared John McCain in the 2000 GOP South Carolina primary by having their slimy surrogates cold-call prospective voters and plant vile rumors questioning McCain's mental stability as a result of his 5 years as a POW in Vietnam. They also planted rumors about McCain ratting on his fellow POWs. They topped off their sickening campaign against this good man and hero by insinuating that a Bangladesh child he and his wife adopted was a "black" love-child. Another decent man, patriot and war hero these creeps maligned was Georgia Senator Max Cleland during his 2002 Senate race. Republican challenger Saxby Chambliss borrowed a page directly from Rove's dirty tricks playbook by running television ads morphing Cleland's face into Osama Bin Laden's face and questioning Cleland's ability to defend America against terrorism. Never mind the fact that Max Cleland left both legs and an arm on the battlefields of Vietnam. And never mind the fact that his attacker (Chambliss) was just another GOP chickenhawk who had gotten a medical deferment for supposedly "bad knees."

To be blunt about this whole situation, I've fucking had it with these hypocritical right-wing goons and their truckloads of lies. It especially gets my blood boiling when I see gutless cowards who've never wore the uniform, or others who wore it contemptuously or out of selfish convenience, openly question the patriotism and integrity of true soldiers that have put their lives on the line for this country. Yeah - you heard me alright -- gutless cowards!! And GWBush is the worst - he can't even fight his own fucking political battles - - has to have his daddy's hit-men do his dirty work for him. My dear friends - - if what Bush and his minions are doing to John Kerry, and, have done to John McCain and Max Cleland, is your idea of leadership, character and morality, not only do I pity your judgement, I question your sanity and I question whether you have the slightest fucking clue as to what patriotism really means. I'm sorry if that offends some of you, as I'm sure it will. I do value my friendships and I'm more than willing to fairly and civilly debate anyone on the issues of the day, but when it comes to this kind of vile personal attacks on a man's proven military service (for if you question official Naval records on Kerry's service you question official Naval records on ALL vet's service) - - - well, that's where you and I sharply part company - end of discussion.

Thankfully the past couple days has seen a somnambulate press corp finally stir to life and start digging into the backgrounds of the SBVT people and tracing their political and money connections. Already, several of the SBVT spokespeople have been caught making misleading and contradictory statements and/or telling outright lies to promote their hate-filled campaign against Kerry. Additionally, several previously silent witnesses have since come out in public and gone on the record backing Kerry's version of the events in question. The biggest difference between these witnesses and the SBVT people is that they were actually there at the time these events took place. The vast majority of the SBVT folks signed afidavits not as eye-witnesses but based on hearsay evidence -- in other words "a friend of a friend of a friend who was there told me . . . " That is no evidence whatsoever regardless of whether our incompetent and whore media puts it in print or on the airwaves.

Lastly - - some of you may be snidely asking yourselves - - "what's the difference between the things you krazee have stated about Bush in your rant here and what the SBVT people are saying about Kerry?" Glad you asked! Quite simple formula actually. You see -- common sense and truth are qualitys which are beyond rhetorical reproach. They are inherently immune to the puny attempts by sniveling, sordid men and their cowardly words and will prevail to the very end. See how simple and uncomplicated that was?

And with that we unceremoniously get to the truth telling red-ass treatment portion of today's discourse. Please take the time (if knowing the truth is of any value to you whatsoever) to read the below listed articles and visit the listed websites. Feel free to try and refute the information being imparted to you. By most fair accounts the accusers in this case (SBVT) have not only failed miserably to prove their accusations, they have also tarnished their own reputations and credibility all in a sad, hate-filled attempt to exact vengeance for some damaged egos and ruffled feathers that took place 35 years ago. The pettiness of such men - - if they can be called men even, is a sad sight to view indeed.

Swift Boat Liars De-bunked - - yet again . . .

Another lengthy and credible investigation by a mainstream news outlet showing that the laughably-named "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth" are in reality nothing more than a bunch of dishonest, disgruntled bought and paid-for whores of the Bush mafia.

Karl Rove has his greasy, slimy fingerprints all over this vile smear job. If George Bush were a fraction of the decent man that John Kerry is, he would put a stop to this cowardly attack and get on with the business of fairly debating the issues that America deserves.

Here's the article showing the type of yellow-belly gutter slime that Bush has chosen to align himself with.

Friday, August 13, 2004

The little dictator . . .

Pretty goddamn pathetic. America's un-elected Deserter-in-Chief can't even handle a few dissenters in his midst. What a cowardly little man. His robotic supporters eerily remind me of the fawning brownshirts that pushed Hitler into power in 1930's Germany. Patriots my ass!!

Click here for the whole sickening story.

Bush AWOL story awaits real scrutiny . . .

Funny how America's press has the attention span of a 2 year old child - - unless of course the subject has anything to do with Bill Clinton's penis or any other sordid story with sexual overtones.

I'm still waiting for one brave scribe to dig deeper into the story of George W. Bush's desertion from his National Guard duty during Vietnam. It appears that our vaunted national press corp turned tail and ran from the story the moment Karl Rove deviously dumped a gazillion pages of old and useless documents on them. God forbid should our press corp have to do any real work and perform some good old fashioned investigative journalism huh?

It's all the more important that someone revive the Bush AWOL investigation now. The current Kerry smear campaign by Rove's handpicked pond-scum "Swiftboat Liars for Truth" headed by one-time Nixon toady and GOP hitman John O'Neill has shifted the attention not only from Bush's military desertion but also from the truly important issues of the current presidential campaign. It's classic GOP bait & switch goon tactics. The American people deserve better and the fact that these proven liars are even given airtime to spew their bile about a decent man and candidate for President speaks volumes about the state of the American media itself. Pond-scum tends to gravitate towards it's own kind is how I view it.

Here's one military vet's response to the current attempt to destroy a good and decent American patriot, a military war hero, and a decent and honorable human being - - John Kerry. Be sure to check out the URL references at the end of the article for additional sources which document the truth that George W. Bush is a liar and war-time deserter and that the current character assassination campaign against John Kerry is nothing more than sleazy, lying, rich friends of Bush, GOP gutter politics at it's most disgusting.

More truth about Bush's Tax cuts . . .

Once again, a reputable analysis tells the truth about Bush's tax giveaway to his wealthy benefactors.

It's amazing to me how the moron America crowd can sit and bitch and moan about how Kerry is going raise their taxes (he's on the record as saying it will not happen) yet our lying boy king of a preznit is revered by them even as he steals money from their paychecks to give to the rich. I guess that's why they're known as the moron America crowd.

At the heart of the argument are two very basic, unrefutable truths - - Bush's tax cuts have not spurred job growth (still 3 million lost jobs in the hole Shrub) and the revered tax cuts have not benefited the middle class or the poor but instead have made the wallets of the richest in this country even fatter.

Read it and weep morons - - just click here.

President George W. Deserter

Quite busy lately. Working stiff type of busy. . .

Anyhow, here's a site that I wholeheartedly recommend to those who still have lingering doubts about the charges that GWBush was AWOL during his Vietnam era National Guard stint. Anybody who thoroughly and fair-mindedly reads the evidence and still believes that Bush was not a war-time deserter is either just plain dumb and blind or in a deep, deep state of denial.

You know the routine - - just click here.

Good news and bad news . . .

Even though the general thrust of this article implies that Kerry is beginning to pull ahead of Bush, it's statements like this one that scare the shit out of me:

Kerry, 60, also leads Bush in perceptions among the general public on who can best deal with issues including the economy, health care, education, the environment, Iraq, foreign policy and gun control. The Republicans led on morality, homosexuality and terrorism, according to the center.

Lemme' see --- Americans believe Republicans are more moral as in ---

(lying about the reasons for going to war against Iraq; lying about profiteering off of that war; lying about and covering up the Abu Ghraib prison abuse scandal; lying about the cost of the prescription drug bill; lying about who benefits most from the tax cuts; lying about and covering up Bush being AWOL in the military; lying about and covering up the theft of the 2000 Florida election).  Oh yeah!!! Virtual beacons of morality those Republicans!

Americans also, it appears, believe Republicans can deal best with the issue of homosexuality ---

(hmmm . . . Kill 'em all!!!!  And if we can't kill 'em, let's discriminate against 'em!!!!)   WTF??

And lastly Americans believe Republicans are better at dealing with the issue of terrorism - - -

(9-11!  9-11!  Osama Bin Forgotten!  Anthrax killer!  9-11!  9-11!  "who would've thought terrorists would use airplanes as missiles and fly them into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon?"  -- Clueless Condi Rice.  Osama Bin Forgotten!  Anthrax killer!  9-11!  9-11!!  9-11!!!  9-fucking-11 people!!!!

Makes one want to cry just knowing that half your countrymen are fucking brain-dead goobers.

So What Else Is New?? . . .

More proof that the Republican party is not interested in Democracy and allowing Americans the right to vote for whomever they wish.  Not only that, can there be any clearer sign of desperation to hang on to power than this??

Actually, I'm kind of looking at this as a sign that the ReThugs know that the tide is turning against them and their un-elected boy king and will stoop to any level to deny America the right to fairly elect the President of their choosing.

Here's the whole pathetic story.

Bush lip service dishonors America's soldiers . . . Amen!

One of America's most decorated living soldiers (a true soldier's soldier) and a bona fide hero has something to say about the way George Bush and his glassy-eyed following of uber-patriots are treating our bravest and finest.

Every loud-mouth, plastic flag-waving, FOX News watching Bush supporter ought to be forced to read this article out loud to themselves a hundred times over.

Here's a key exerpt:

"The old saying that war is a racket has taken on an even more shameful meaning. In Bosnia, for example, Halliburton was given tens of thousands of dollars to refurbish several U.S. military camps and fulfilled the assignment by bringing them right up to snuff – only a few months before these same camps were then bulldozed down!

But the minute concerned citizens rightfully question wrongdoings like those mentioned above, we’re immediately slammed by a battalion of frothing-at-the-mouth self-proclaimed patriots for bad-mouthing the president or his administration and for not supporting our warriors.

These irresponsible assaults often prolong change and always deep-six any opportunity for rational dialogue. They’re also particularly offensive to me, since I’ve spent my life trying to keep our soldiers alive on battlefields by standing tall and demanding hard training, good equipment and great leadership.

If a policy is wrongheaded, feckless and corrupt, I take it personally and consider it a moral obligation to sound off and not shut up until it’s fixed. And I hope more of you will commit to this critical mission as well.

That’s what supporting the troops is really all about – making sure American grunts get the right stuff! Not mindlessly clicking our heels and saying “Yes, my leader.” That’s what the Nazis did, and we all know the chilling results."

----krazeeinjun

Barking up the wrong tree - - still . . .

The writer of this article is absolutely correct when he states,

"I don't know what the administration was thinking when it invaded Iraq even as the direct threat from bin Laden and Al Qaeda continued to stare us in the face. That threat has only intensified. The war in Iraq consumed personnel and resources badly needed in the campaign against bin Laden and his allies. And it has fanned the hatred of the U.S. among Muslims around the world. Instead of destroying Al Qaeda, we have played right into its hands and contributed immeasurably to its support.

Most current intelligence analysts agree with Secretary Ridge that Al Qaeda will try before long to strike the U.S. mainland once again.

We've trained most of our guns on the wrong foe. The real enemy is sneaking up behind us. Again. The price to be paid for not recognizing this could be devastating."

With half of the fear-baited American electorate putting blind faith in this election-thieving, stumble monkey pResident, it's only a matter of time before we're caught with our pants down again. It makes one almost want to weep just thinking about it. The colossal incompetence and idiocy of George Bush and the banana-Republicans currently controlling the government I fear is going to lead to a lot of heartache, misery and perpetual instability in this country. I'm convinced only one thing can potentially stop their mad rush to ruin - - throw the bastards out of office on election day --- every goddamn last one of them.

Unimaginable Stupidity . . .

I'm all for hunters and legitimate sportsmen owning firearms. I'm for responsible ownership of handguns providing a reasonable criminal and mental health background check has been done.

Having said that, who in their right fucking mind could possibly be cheering the right-winger's plans to allow the expiration of the assault-weapons ban? Keeping Uzis and AK-47's as far away from America's violence-prone culture is not only sane it is moral.

These NRA goons who believe their shitty little right to play with their GI-Joe toys outweighs the overall good of society are a bunch of selfish, immoral, conscience-less pricks. And if you ask me, Bush and Ashcroft are nothing more than the NRA's paid-for bitches who bend over and grease up at the snap of Wayne La Pierre's fingers.

It's really hard to find much to argue with in this author's article.

When the good guys fight back . . . Priceless!

Friday morning on CBS’s Early Show, filmmaker Michael Moore, who showed up to promote his anti-Bush documentary "Fahrenheit 9-11", when asked if his film is “propaganda,” declared: “I consider the CBS Evening News propaganda.” Moore argued that the networks are too right wing: “We may not of even gone into this war had these networks done their job. I mean, it was a great disservice to the American people because we depend on people who work here and the other networks to go after those in power and say ‘Hey, wait a minute. You want to send our kids off to war, we want to know where those weapons of mass destruction are. Let’s see the proof. Let’s see the proof that Saddam Hussein had something to do with 9/11.’"

Here's a transcript of this incredible exchange, on the June 25 Early Show, between Michael Moore and CBS’s Hannah Storm:

Storm: "So this is satire and not documentary? We shouldn’t see this as-"
Moore: "It’s a satirical documentary."
Storm: "Some have said propaganda, do you buy that? Op-ed?"
Moore: "No, I consider the CBS Evening News propaganda. What I do is-"
Storm: "We’ll move beyond on that."
Moore: "Why? Let’s not move beyond that."
Storm: "You know what?"
Moore: "Seriously."
Storm: "No, let’s talk about your movie."
Moore: "But why don’t we talk about the Evening News on this network and the other networks that didn’t do the job they should have done at the beginning of this war?"
Storm: "You know what?"
Moore: "Demanded the evidence, ask the hard questions-"
Storm: "Okay."
Moore: "-we may not of even gone into this war had these networks done their job. I mean, it was a great disservice to the American people because we depend on people who work here and the other networks to go after those in power and say 'Hey, wait a minute. You want to send our kids off to war, we want to know where those weapons of mass destruction are. Let’s see the proof. Let’s see the proof that Saddam Hussein had something to do with 9/11.’"
Storm: "But-"
Moore: "There was no proof and everybody just got embedded and everybody rolled over and everybody knows that now."
Storm: "Michael, the one thing that journalists try to do is to present both sides of the story. And it could be argued that you did not do that in this movie."
Moore: "I certainly didn’t. I presented my side-"
Storm: "You presented your side of the story."
Moore: "Because my side, that’s the side of millions of Americans, rarely gets told. And so, all I’m, look, this is just a humble plea on my behalf and not to you personally, Hannah. But I’m just saying to journalists in general that instead of working so hard to tell both sides of the story, why don’t you just tell that one side, which is the administration, why don’t you ask them the hard questions-"
Storm: "Which I think is something that we all try to do."
Moore: "Well, I think it was a lot of cheerleading going on at the beginning of this war-"
Storm: "Alright."
Moore: "A lot of cheerleading and it didn’t do the public any good to have journalists standing in front of the camera going 'whoop-dee-do, let’s all go to war’. And, and it’s not their kids going to war. It’s not the children of the news executives going to war-"
Storm: "Michael, why don’t you do you next movie about networks news, okay? Because this movie-"
Moore: "I know, I think I should do that movie."
Storm: "-because this movie is an attack on the president and his policies."
Moore: "Well, and it also points out how the networks failed us at the beginning of this war and didn’t do their job."

All I have to say is thank fucking god there's still someone in this country who's not afraid to call fascists fascists and then stand eyeball-to-eyball with the fascists and say it again even louder right to their faces! Moore didn't put up with any of Storm's bullshit and did not let her change the subject as the cowardly pundits are wont to do. Now - - if we could only get every Democrat in Washington a matching set of Moore's cojones, there still might be a chance to rescue this country from these keystone kop neo-con imperialists and put America back on the road to a representative democracy.

And you know what? I hope like hell Michael takes up dingbat Hannah's challenge to do a movie about the yellow-bellied, dysfunctional media in this country. They're way, way over-due for a good old-fashioned ass-whooping.

Lies that kill . . .

I'm still waiting for my conservative friends to answer the very simple question of which is worse:

lying about a blow job

or,

lying about a phony oil war that has killed hundreds (and continues to kill) of brave U.S. soldiers, maimed thousands of others, killed tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians (a great many of them women and children), enraged and mobilized many muslims to embrace violence against us, alienated most of our allies around the world including many traditional ones that have stood by us in previous conflicts and funding all this madness with the dollars from the American taxpayer's treasury (which for all intents and purposes at this point has been thoroughly pillaged)???

Please answer the goddamn question!!

Maybe this article will help you.

The experts speak -- Bush must go! . . .

How much more goddamn proof do the American people need to convince them that George Bush has been a disaster for this country??

The people in this article are bipartisan and absolutely of the opinion that GW Shrub is putting America's security and credibility in danger.

When will the fucking dumbass moron Americans understand this??? Goddamn I'm pissed!

Crime does pay --- as long as you're affiliated with the GOP. . .

Bush and the GOP have already allowed their energy industry friends to steal at least $1.1 billion from west coast states and their ratepaying citizens.

What makes anyone think they'll suddenly discover ethics and want to investigate the wholesale plundering of our treasury by Oil-Slick Dick's pals and war-profiteers exraordinairre - Halliburton?

Hmmm . . . Let's Think This One Over . . .

At first glance I was incensed by this article, but after careful and thoughtful consideration, I've decided this might not be such a bad idea after all.

Think of it - - we gather up all the Christian fundamentalist religious whack-jobs in this country, and herd them into the state of South Carolina, which is already sympathetic to their nutball ideology and belief system. We can then seal them off from the rest of the sane-minded citizenry with a 50 foot high, 100 foot wide, steel and concrete wall that's topped off with row upon row of concertina barb wire. Once enclosed the whackos will be free to institute their own little fundamentalist theocratic government and society to their jesus-loving heart's content!!

Meanwhile, the rest of us will be free to enjoy life, enjoy loving, enjoy being humane and kind to eachother, enjoy laughter, enjoy the diversity of eachother's cultures and beliefs, enjoy the beauty of preserving our natural environment and enjoy the rewards of a true democracy.

Hmmm --- I'm beginning to like this idea very, very much . . .

Spawns of Evil . . .

Here's a quartet legacy of the Reagan era which has done nothing but sow the seeds of hatred, bigotry, hypocrisy and anti-democracy across the land. No surprise that they're all firmly affiliated with Republican politics.

The Moonatic Asylum . . .

Here's an interesting article on another Pious fraud and monstrous individual - Sun Myung Moon (the Moonie cult leader). And yes --- exactly what are these politicians doing consorting with this lizardly creep?? Some explanations are surely in order!

----krazee

Apocalyptic Lunatics Running The Asylum . . . Egads!

Frankly, I'm more frightened of the insane Christian fundamentalists already in this country than all of the Osama Bin Ladens remotely scattered about the globe in remote mountain cave hideouts. The jesus-freaks in this country are gleeful at the prospect of a world-ending Armageddon-like conflict occurring during their lifetime that they may be resurrected to be altar boys at the right-hand side of their vengeful God. (Can someone explain to me the difference between these people and the lunatic Muslims who blow themselves and others up in order to please their god and receive heavenly rewards???)

America had better wake the fuck up and acknowledge the evil that courses through the veins of these pious Christian monsters in our midst -- especially considering they've got one of their own in charge of the world's most deadly nuclear arsenal.

Scary shit man!

The American Way -- Conservative Style . . .

This is the conservative's vision of a future America. All the more reason to fight these bastards and send them back to the primordial gloop that they oozed from.

1. Expanding the number of misery-laden working poor

2. Rewarding polluters at expense of environment and American people's health

3. Crushing deficits to be paid by average Americans and their children and their children's children

4. Corporate corruption run rampant

5. Taliban-like religious fundamentalism forced upon all

6. A lawless, imperial Presidency devoid of democratic principles

7. A society ignorant of the damage being done to them and others all in their name

OOPS!! We lied again . . . so sorry!

More lies and deception from the Bushistas. This time they're lying to the American people about how effective their policies have been in the war on terror. Reminds me of the old joke -- Q: "how can you a tell when the Bush Administration is lying?" A: "They're lips are moving!"

I don't even think the scumbags care anymore that they keep constantly getting caught lying. It's ingrained in their collective mindset. Of course it sure helps when you know the so-called "librul media" will spend all of about 5 minutes on the subject before moving on to the latest rumor involving Bill Clinton's penis or the latest Al Gore fib.

Reagan: Media Myth vs. Reality

Here's a FAIR accounting of the servile media's hyping of Reagan's popularity. I've no issue with giving Reagan his due, where he's deserving of it, but let's be truthful and point out the man's flaws and shortcomings as well, otherwise the whole affair devolves into nothing more than a sycophantic exercise in historical revisionism.

Top Ten Conservative Idiots . . .

Where do these freaks come from?? They can't be human.

God knows there's a fair number of liberal idiots running around this planet but when you get right down to it the conservatives have got a hammerlock on being the biggest idiots of all.

Here's this weeks list.

Goodbye to "The Gipper" . . . see ya in Purgatory Ron

Forgive me for not getting all choked up and teary-eyed about the passing of former President Ronald Reagan this past week. Of course it's sad when people die. Happens all the time. However, setting aside the personal grief of the Reagan family and close friends, what the fuck is up with the fawning, sycophantic media and their wall-to-wall coverage of this guy's death? CNN demonstrates it's shiny new whore credentials by airing non-stop coverage of Reagan's flag-draped coffin. I swear, every 3 hours I switch the cable channel to CNN and I see the same shot of the same coffin, same camera angle and in the background the same servile pundits waxing rhapsodically (meaning lying their asses off) about the "heroic" and "historic" legacy that Reagan has left America and the world.

I'll let historians debate the overall effectiveness of Reagan's Presidency and his legacy for America. I'm sure there'll be plenty of balance once they do so. Credible and mainstream historians are not noteworthy for lying about their subject matter.

As far as Reagan's legacy for the rest of the world, I've got a tidbit of history for you about Saint Ronnie. It's the bloody legacy and human devastation wrought by his administration's foreign policy in Central America in the 1980's. A shameful stain on any hero's record if ever there was one.

Of course, Reagan supporters will simply shut their eyes, cover their ears and scream "blah, blah blah!" at the tops of their lungs in a vain effort to avoid confronting the truth about one of their cowboy heros, but in the end, the truth is the truth and all of the devout, impassioned denial in the world cannot make it disappear.

Click here to read a little "history" of Reagan which you won't be hearing the knee-pad press talking about on television or on the radio.

Returning to the Scene of the Crime . . .

The Bush Mafia are masters at winning dirty elections. The events down in Florida in 2000 amply demonstrate that. And, like any good crime family, when you've hit on a winning scam, why not return to the scene of your criminal payoff?

Looks like George and Jebbie are putting the necessary framework in place to once again deny the rights of Florida voters (mostly minority Democrats of course) to have their constitutionally guaranteed right to vote count.

To me, the fact that the Republicans allow this kind of sleazy, anti-democratic election rigging to go on, means one thing: they know that they have no inclusive vision for America and therefore the only way they can get their fascist agenda shoved down America's throat is by manipulating factors at the ballot box with the sole intent of disenfranchising those who would vote against them. Thank you GOP!! -- for giving the rest of the Democracy-loving world the impression that America isn't much better than a Third-world country, banana republic.

"Librul Media" -- my ass!

Is anybody with an ounce of brain matter still buying into the horseshit about the media being liberal in this country?? Don't bother answering that question if you have more than an hour's worth of Fox News programming scheduled on your TIVO -- Lol.

Anyhow, here's a couple of good sites to check in with regularly.

Both chronicle daily the assaults on liberty of the so-called "Librul Media."

Well worth a few minutes of your time.

The Daily Howler

Media Matters For America

Where's a strait-jacket when you need one??

If this article has even a hint of truth to it, this country is in a perilous situation. The idea that the guy with his finger closest to the little red nuke button is a whacked out religious fundamentalist with delusions of grandeur is frighteningly hair-raising.

Is this how human history's greatest experiment in democracy will meet it's demise? Done in by a mentally unstable, born-again jesus freak who fancies himself one of God's hand-picked disciples?? Oh my, oh my, oh my.

Temperature's rising . . .

Trailer from Michael Moore's new and soon to be released movie "Fahrenheit 9/11."

The fact that Poppy Bush publicly called Moore a "slimeball" the other day (how fucking ironic is that? Lol!) tells me this is gonna be one hot summer in the good old U. S. of A.

Al Franken shows how it's done...

This is classic. Listen to Al Franken filet loud-mouth, rightwing radio host Neal Boortz. Al catches him in multiple lies and finally forces the cowardly bully (aren't all rightwingers cowardly bullies?) to turn tail and run. Beautiful! Ha ha!

Just click here.

I smell a boatload of rats...

Hmmm! Some interesting goings-on in our nation's capital today.

First we have CIA Director George Tenet abruptly resigning.

Then we have the story of Bush retaining a lawyer to represent him in the case of the outing of WMD CIA Operative Valerie Plame.

And to top it all off we have the story of Team Bush's hand-picked puppet, Ahmad Chalabi, whom they were grooming to run a post-war Iraq, turning out to be a two-faced spy who passed sensitive military intelligence to our "Axis of Evil" enemy Iran!

I'm waiting for some conservative knucklehead to say to me - "but krazee, remember the semen stains on Monica's dress?"

Someday (hopefully in the not-too-distant future) historians will look back and wonder "what the fuck kind of mass psychosis were Americans suffering from back then??"
