Somebody really needs to do an intervention with Fox's resident schizophrenic Glenn Beck. The guy has some very scary psychiatric issues going on. Of course it must be noted that he truly is a perfect fit on Fox -- along with the other tin-foil hat right-wing douche bags like Hannity, O'Reilly, Cavuto, Gibson and the rest of Rupert Murdoch's ass-hat brigade.

Another of my favorite groups and songs from the 60's (god I would've made a great Hippie.)

Sometimes I find myself long regretting
Some foolish thing some little simple thing I've done
But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood
Yes, I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood
Yes, I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood

GOP = Grand Old Prepubescents . . .
After viewing that video from the CPAC convention the other day one really has to stand in jaw-dropping awe of the conservative movement. Despite having their brand of hateful, idiotic, anti-democracy politics completely repudiated and literally shit and spat upon by the electorate in the November 2008 election, conservatives gleefully continue their downward spiral into the turd filled toilet bowl of political oblivion.
As much as it pains me to say it, I actually kind of hope they keep up with this petty, juvenile behavior. First, it gives bored, right-wing despising bloggers like me something to write about and deride. And secondly, but more importantly, it continues to showcase to the American people what an absolutely intellectual and morally bankrupt ideology right-wing conservatism has become and how it's proponents and leaders have embedded themselves as the core controlling force in the modern day Republican party.
Here's an article that's nothing less than a magnificent take-down of the new "wingnut revolutionaries" and their bat-shit insane leaders. Well worth the read.
Paul Krugman also nailed it on the head the other day on his blog when he stated that the GOP has evolved into the "Beavis and Butthead" party with their snide, snickering, infantile political antics at a time when a majority of sane America is yearning for serious, adult leadership in this time of economic crisis.
Anyhow -- keep up the good work conservatives! The more you rant and rave and slander and malign and snicker and sneer -- the better the prospects are for you not regaining the reins of government power for a very, very, very long time. And that's just fine by me.

Sloopy
First time I heard this song as a kid, I thought they were singing "Hang On Snoopy" -- lol. Anyhow, I thought it was a cool song then and the years haven't changed that opinion. Also pretty neat to see a very young and vibrant Rick Derringer plying his trade. Enjoy.

The Religiously Insane . . . Sigh . . . .
The saddest part about this comedy bit from Jon Stewart's Daily Show is the fact that there are millions of Americans with similar beliefs as these two asshats roaming society unmedicated. Even sadder is the horror of realizing that it appears that people who are demonstrably mentally deranged can quite easily find an available platform for spewing their psychopathic drivel over the public airwaves (Fox and CNN). One thing is obvious -- all of these losers suck up way, way too much oxygen on this planet and it irks me that I have to share it with them.
