The News Ain't News Anymore . . .
When I think of the U.S. media these days, this is kind of the impression I have of all of them -- doesn't matter, Fox, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, NYTimes, LATimes, blah, blah, blah.
Pretty sad if one cares to think deeply enough about it.

A Voice From the Great Beyond . . .
June 22 is almost 2 months away. What significance does that date have? For most people -- none whatsoever. For me, it's the day the voice of sanity, honesty, and general in your face prickishness died. I speak of George Carlin. Goddamn man we miss your insight and dedication to un-pulling the wool over people's eyes.
RIP pal.

Sunday M-Vloggin
When it comes to rock music, the term "power ballad" is quite dependent upon the definitions of "power" and "ballad" that the person speaking of such term has.
When I hear the term "power ballad" one song comes to mind instantly and without question -- The Scorpions "Still Loving You".
Perform this simple exercise -- separate the two words "power" and "ballad", look up the definition of each word in the dictionary, then listen to this song -- you'll not have to ponder the meaning of the term ever again.
