Election Theft 2006!! Here We Go Again . . .

Debra A. Reed voted with her boss on Wednesday at African-American Research Library and Cultural Center near Fort Lauderdale. Her vote went smoothly, but boss Gary Rudolf called her over to look at what was happening on his machine. He touched the screen for gubernatorial candidate Jim Davis, a Democrat, but the review screen repeatedly registered the Republican, Charlie Crist.

That's exactly the kind of problem that sends conspiracy theorists into high gear -- especially in South Florida, where a history of problems at the polls have made voters particularly skittish.

A poll worker then helped Rudolf, but it took three tries to get it right, Reed said.
''I'm shocked because I really want . . . to trust that the issues with irregularities with voting machines have been resolved,'' said Reed, a paralegal. ``It worries me because the races are so close.''

Broward Supervisor of Elections spokeswoman Mary Cooney said it's not uncommon for screens on heavily used machines to slip out of sync, making votes register incorrectly. Poll workers are trained to recalibrate them on the spot -- essentially, to realign the video screen with the electronics inside. The 15-step process is outlined in the poll-workers manual.

Bull-fucking-shit!! [Click here]

A couple of things -- how much does anyone want to bet that this "out of sync" glitch consistently occurs to the detriment of the Democrat candidate?? This is the same pattern of "irregularities" that marred the 2000 and 2004 national elections. These sons of bitches have had 6 years to fix this shit to ensure that the "world's greatest Democracy" has clean elections it's citizens can trust. 6 fucking years and we're still experiencing "glitches" which once again will leave a good portion of the American voting public doubting whether their vote was counted accurately and whether the true winning candidate has been elected to office.

Secondly -- this lame-ass excuse of -- "oh! the machines occasionaly get whacked out of sync from heavy usage" doesn't cut it anymore. Diebold is one of the largest manufacturers of banking ATM machines in the country. Can someone tell me how many times they've pushed buttons on their bank's ATM machine and accidentally gained access to another customer's account?? And I would venture to say that ATM's are used alot more heavily than voting machines, and I base that view on the beat up looking condition of the machines at my local bank branches. Yet funny -- I've never heard of a rash of ATM machine "glitches" which resulted in money being withdrawn out of incorrect accounts. So -- if Diebold can make a foolproof, glitch-free ATM machine, why the fuck can't they do the same with voting machines??

Of course, us tin-foil hatters couldn't possibly be thinking it has anything to do with the fact that in 2003, then CEO of Diebold, Wally O'Dell, was quoted at a Republican fund-raiser stating he was "committed to helping Ohio deliver it's electoral votes to the President" George Bush?? Imagine that! The CEO of the nation's most prominent voting-machine maker making a public statement promising to deliver a key battleground state to his chosen guy -- Dubya? Nope! No conflict of interest to see here folks!! Let's all move along now . . . Will wonders never cease? And never mind the fact that 2 years later O'Dell was forced to resign from Diebold amid swirling allegations of securities fraud and other business improprieties.

As it is, it appears then that the lying, cheating fascist GOP once again has "the fix" in for the coming elections. Once again -- heretofore, accurate pre-election polls showing Democratic gains will be turned upside down in an "amazing" last minute change of heart by the voters as the Rethugs "miraculously" maintain their iron-fisted grip on the levers of power. And somewhere in Moscow, in a an unremarkable grave near the Kremlin walls, Josef Stalin, who once is alleged to have said "Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything," is smiling.

GOP -- America's neuvo Cosa Nostra...

When is enough enough? What would it take to convince the die-hard Republican holdouts that the GOP party is god-awfully deceitful, incompetent and odiously corrupt?

Let's review shall we?:

Bush lies

Cheney lies

Rumsfeld lies

Rice lies

And then we have your standard everyday parade of corrupt, lying GOP politicians who view public service solely as as their very own road to riches career field:

Tom DeLay

Jack Abramoff

Bob Ney

Mark Foley

Bill Frist

And the shit-pile grows ever deeper . . .

9/11 happened on their watch -- no accountability; no WMD's in Iraq and lies about ongoing insurgency; Abu Ghraib torture; secretive domestic spying; election tampering; tax cuts benefitting America's wealthiest promoted as helping poor and middle class; Medicare prescription drug benefit which was really huge giveaway to pharma industry; Enron! WorldCom! Tyco! --- all big GOP donors and crooks!!!; Jack-fucking-Abramoff; Mark Foley PageGate.

and the beat goes on . . . . oops! late breaking news! -- Pennsylvania Congressman "Crazy" Curt Weldon joins the corruption band wagon!

Oh My!!! What will we tell the children????

I'm not naive. Of course there are some corrupt sons of bitches on the Dem side of the aisle. Although considering who has been in power for the last 6 years, 4 of which they've controlled all three brances of government, you'd think the GOP cocksuckers could've dug up alot more Dem crooks than what their own party has been exposed for. Quite frankly, I am of the sound opinion that if any Dem is caught doing half of the criminal activity some of these GOP pricks have been doing, I'm all for impeaching the piece of shit and putting him/her behind bars.

With that said though --- where are the last honest Republicans in this country? Where are their voices of semi-reason and credibility? Senate leader Bill Frist?? House leader Dennis Hastert?? Muahahaha!! Fucking both under corruption stormclouds. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rice all lie every time their fucking lips move. The bloated talking head GOP parrots on radio and cable news provide criminal cover for the bastards every chance they get.

How much longer do we have to take this shit people?? If there are any Republican voters who have so much as a shred of decency and the most minute sense of justice in their hearts remaining on the sidelines --- America implores you!!! Vote these fuckers out of office now!! Don't even vote for a Dem if you don't want to... just don't vote for the GOP or don't even vote at all!! Simple as that.

Let's hope a wave of belated, and retropspective sanity washes over this country over the next few weeks. This upcoming election will have profound effects on the future survivability of the world's greatest Democracy --- we can't, we must not fucking blow our chance for redemption this time around.

GWBush -- A "comma" on the ass of humanity

2,700+ U.S. soldiers dead. 18,000+ more wounded, many maimed for life. A conservative estimate of 130,000 Iraqi civilians dead. An on-going and escalating civil war which is claiming 6,000 more Iraqi lives monthly. America's financial future mortgaged, and our collective moral reputation in tatters around the world.

And the smug, little fuck of a man George W. Bush (and oh how I loathe to even call him a man) says that "when the final history is written on Iraq, it'll look just like a comma..." Wow! I thought I had seen how low Bush and his minions could sink into the moral abyss. I thought I had seen the peak which their unbridled hubris and hypocrisy could soar. I thought I had heard the worst of their horrifyingly ignorant ravings on all things important and sacred. It appears I was wrong on all accounts.

Some acquaintances of mine ask me on occasion what fuels my hatred of Bush and his ilk. In the beginning, I would try to nuance my response by saying that my hatred wasn't for the man himself, but for his lack of character and honesty along with his politics and his policies. But over the past couple of years I've come to realize that the politics and policies are simply byproducts of the man and those he does his bidding for (the rich, big-business, military-industrial-complex elites and the religious rightwing). Those factors can be dealt with by simply voting the bastard and his enablers out of office. And even though these anti-American sons of bitches are making every underhanded criminal effort to corrupt the American election process at every turn, it is a battle that can be overcome by the masses if they simply demand it and demand it with a collective fury. That day cannot come too soon -- and I hope for it knowing all too well that the future of our republic depends on it.

But the quandary of dealing with the man, Bush -- is a much, much more treacherous endeavour. You see, I've come to believe that George W. Bush, the man, is pure, unadulterated, Grade AAA fucking evil. Any human being with a sentient grasp of compassion and humanity in their soul would not, could not make such a blithely cold-blooded, unfeeling and dismissive statement about the human slaughter that has taken place and is still taking place in Iraq.

Venequelan President Hugo Chavez (whom I used to think was a nutball leader in the mold of Cuba's Castro) said on the floor of the U.N. a couple of weeks ago, "The devil came here yesterday," he said, referring to Mr Bush's speech on Tuesday. "It still smells of sulphur today." Of course that silly rant sent the right-wingers and their media sock-puppets into a mouth-frothing tizzy, their self-righteous (and faux) indignation ignoring the glaring fact that they themselves have mastered the vile art of personal smearmanship. But, the point is, I am no longer thinking Hugo Chavez has a few screws loose. It's quite clear to me now --- as clear as Dick Cheney's [5] Vietnam draft deferments, as clear as the Republican party's cowardice and corruption, as clear as Fox News' GOP propagandizing, as clear as Rush Limbaugh's heroin addiction --- clear, clear, clear!!!! --- that George W. Bush is a scumbag, piece of human shit.

And I swear, the next person, friend or foe, who looks me in the eye and tells me that George W. Bush is MY President, and that I should support him in all he does -- I'm going to just fucking slug them in the mouth -- even if it results in my own ass getting the shit kicked out of it. It will be worth it -- worth it because I took a stand and spoke the truth -- and all the bruises, broken bones, fat lips and black eyes in the world can never change the truth.

Moses Bush ... America's Savior in the Fool's Wilderness

This is godawfully funny and sadly -- so, so true. Courtesy of poster Bruce Gorton at ThinkProgress.org.

[LINK]

And George went down unto the lord, and asked the lord how he shall prevail, and the lord said unto George “Rise George, and take unto thee these tablets.” And George was confused, for he saw no holy tablets, only slabs of stone with writing on them, so he asked the lord “What tablets my lord? For I see no narcotics upon thine stone bits.” The lord sighed deeply, and answered “The stone bits are tablets, no don’t try to swallow them you idiot, they aren’t that kind… pull your pants up man, shit here I am giving you the ultimate wisdom of how to maintain and keep your grip on power and I have to explain what a tablet is? Shit, the guy upstairs never had this problem with Moses. Look, take those stone things with text on them there, right?” “Yes…”“Then take them up to your followers, these are your new commandments, and with them you shall have victory.” And so it was, that George ascended the great crator of Las Vegas, Nevada, and brought with him the Republican fifteen commandments, and the Republicans rejoiced, for their new age of darkness was upon the world. The Fifteen Comandments--

1: Keep the people afraid at all times.

2: Thought is the enemy, when in doubt, blame the intellectuals, judiciary and opposition.

3: The definition of junk science is science that doesn’t agree with the president.

4: Loyalty is for minions to demonstrate to leaders, not for leaders to demonstrate to minions.

5: The appearance of righteousness is more important then actually being righteous. Never be afraid to thump your bible while lying about its contents.

6: Always remember, whatever you do somebody else has done it too, and really shouldn’t their morality be looked into?

7: Never trust the people. Tap their phones, feed them false information, and if they don’t vote for you, disenfranchise the bastards.

8: People tend not to change presidents during a war. Even if the president started the war.

9: Might is not only right, but also trumps bright. If you are strong but stupid, people will vote for you and not blame you for your misdeeds, if you are bright but weak, people won’t vote for you but will blame you for the other guy’s misdeeds.

10: Never apologise, never admit weakness, and never, ever, take responsibility.

11: But always claim your enemies are arrogant, weak, and incapable of taking responsibility. See 6.

12: The media is like a pet dog, if you kick it it will be on your side, if you let it run free, it will piss on your lawn and bite you.

13: Whenever someone attacks you on the issues, always remember to label them. Environmentalists are for example, tree huggers, peace activists are peaceniks, and anybody mentioning a duty to their common man is a pinko liberal. Get creative, and remember, no label is ever too childish, no matter what the moonbats and the haters say.

14: Diplomacy is another word for calling someone a madman and an idiot in the hopes that they will start the war, thereby giving you really good PR when you squash them.

15: Always remember, the only good leak is a leak that reflects badly on somebody else.

What comes around goes around ... GOP comeuppance time ...?

Ok -- so our anesthetized mainstream media eunuchs yawn at stories like the following:

  • The Downing Street memos which offer substantive proof that Bush lied to Congress and America when he claimed to be pursuing a diplomatic solution to Saddam Hussein and Iraq when in fact the decision had already been laid in stone for going to war, thus diverting attention and incalcuably valuable attention and resources away from the efforts to track down and destroy Osama Bin Ladena and his murderous Al Qaida network.

  • The unprecedented breadth and scope of Bush's NSA domestic surveillance (spying) program which pissed all over established law and the FISA court which was setup specifically because of intelligence abuses by Bush's GOP predecessor Richard Nixon in the 1970's.

  • And of course who can forget the mean-spirited and most assuredly treasonous outing of CIA WMD analyst Valerie Plame Wilson, who's husband, former Ambassador to Iraq under poppy Bush41, dared question the then and now completely discredited claims that Saddam Hussein was attempting to purchase uranium yellow-cake from the African nation of Niger?

Ho-hum! Booooooring! Zzz -- snore! . . . that pretty much sums up the reaction of the U.S. press to these stories, which any single one of them, in a reality-based universe, would quite likely lead to immediate impeachment proceedings against Bush and Cheney followed by lengthy prison terms.

But lo and behold -- slowly bubbling to the surface, primarily for the moment on internet news and blog sites, is a story our Rupert Murdochized, Foxified, sleaze loving media could really sink their chops into ---- and if you geniusly guessed [s-e-x] as being the simmering catalyst at the center of this potential bomb-shell story you get a cheap, cuddly, Made-in-Taiwan door prize.

The recent conviction and prison sentencing of uber-corrupt, hypocritical, sleazy California Republican Congressman Randy "Duke" Cunningham for bribery has opened up a Pandora's box of possible sexual shenanigans by Capitol Hill Republicans which, from initial reports, albeit unverified reports, make Bill Clinton's hide-the-salami exploits with Monica Lewinsky look tamer than your standard teenage sexual hijinks.

Ooohhhhh ---- the karma fairy couldn't be so good as to give us a good-old-fashioned GOP/trading influence for government contracts/and prostitutes scandal could it??? Could lady luck finally be turning her attention to those of us in the political wilderness who've been fervently praying to the Gods that be to deliver a non-spinnable sucker punch to the flabby gut of the Republican power establishment?? Would it? Could it? Can it be gloriously true??? Lest I get myself prematurely worked up into a quivering mass of gelatinous glee, I'll stave off my pent up desire to let loose with a screaming-banshee barrage of maniacal laughter until I actually start seeing some big news outlets trying to out-whore eachother by plastering these stories all over the front pages of their decrepit rags.

But if this story is true, you know goddamn well that our Enquirized media will not be able to resist their modern day, rat-fucking yellow journalism tendencies to rip into this story like a starved lion ripping into a freshly butchered side of beef carcass. So -- keep your eyes and ears open sportsfans -- justice, that of the All-American, fiendish-sex style, could be just around the corner for George W. Bush and the treachorous, "GOP family-values" squawking, bible-thumping Republican party.

The Boston Archdiocese cans the photographer who snapped a photo (see left) of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia giving a lewd hand gesture upon exiting a Catholic Mass and being asked his opinion regarding people who question (and rightfully so) his impartiality on the issue of separation of church and state.

You know -- I wouldn't even fucking give a bumblebee's shit about this story except for one thing ... the reason given by the Boston Archdiocese for firing the photographer who took the photo of Scalia's childish and insulting behavior. They state the firing was because -- ". . . he (the photographer) breached trust with the editor . . ." of the weekly Boston Catholic Newsletter that had hired him.

Breach of trust! Wow oh fucking wow!! These Catholic hypocrite asshklowns who have spent decades coddling child-raping priests actually had the fucking balls to haughtily claim "breach of trust" as their reason for firing this guy? LOL!! Is that not the saddest goddamn mother of all little-boy-ass-penetration irony of all time or what?

Sigh! . . It's reason #16,371 as to why krazee is not a Christian. And it ought to be a primary reason in the litany of reasons why truly honest, thoughtful and good Christians ought to question and challenge their organized religious dogma and the psychotic manipulative and lying fuckers who seem to permeate it's leadership ranks.

"Breach of Trust!" --- ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.... Fucking asswipes.

All In The Family . . . Corruption - Bush Style

You know, some acquaintances of mine occasionally ask me why it is that I have such a virulent hatred for George W. Bush.

Actually it's not just dim son himself that I forthrightly despise -- it's his whole goddamned criminal enterprise family whom I believe ought to be exiled to some desolate island (near either arctic pole preferably) where they can continue to inbreed and ratfuck eachother into extinction.

The history of this faux blue-blood, aristocratic, larcenous bunch belies their current media-anointed status as America's wild west version of British royalty. The only part the onerous lapdog media leaves out of that bullshit narrative is the divulgence of the blatant institutional corruption, criminal endeavors and treasonous ventures which are the sad, but true hallmark underpinnings to the Bush Family's rise to fame and power.

We only have to go back about 70 years to Grandpappy Prescott Bush's appeasement of Hitler's Nazi regime in pre-war Germany, which led to his company assets being seized by the U.S. government in 1942 under the Trading With the Enemy Act, to see how far this Mafia lineage has come . From that time to the present day the Bush Crime Family has had their money-grubbing mitts in every form of white-collar crime known to exist (and they've probably invented a few crimes along the way).

Each of Poppy Bush41's sons have been groomed to learn a specific specialty of institutional criminal activity:

And last, but hardly least, we have:

Sigh . . . . so it really should come as no surprise that two new story's emerged this past week highlighting some more Bush family skullduggery (which usually means more money ends up in their Swiss bank accounts).

Here's the story of Babs "Ma Barker" Bush pretending to give a rat's ass about the child victims of the Hurrican Katrina disaster donating money to schools. There's one small caveat of course -- the money must be spent purchasing son Neil's Ignite! software educational programs!! My -- how fucking generous of the nasty old bat!!! Imagine that -- donating money to some poor homeless waifs which winds up back in the pockets of her darling thieving son. These fucks are so rotten and shameless it's unbelievable.

And then there's the story of Uncle "Bucky" Bush. He just pocketed a cool $1.9 million off the sale of a company which he was a board director of that profited from the Iraq war through various military contracts. Ol' Unka Bucky is an old school Bush crook -- no high tech banking or complex real estate fraud for him nosiree!! Just some old fashioned profiteering off the bloody corpses of American soldiers -- a grand Bush family tradition.

So, my friends and casual acquaintances, if that doesn't fully and adequately explain my blood-curdling hostility toward anything having to do with the Bush Crime Family, all I can say is pull your goddamn heads out of your asses, smell the coffee (take a big whiff!) and start fucking paying attention to those of us who have been shouting and screaming since day one that letting a Bush anywhere near the levers of political power would fuck over the people of this country a thousand times worse than the little white lie Clinton told about his free blowjob.

Bush Spying on Your Bank Account and Mail . . .

This article ought to piss off anyone who has even the slightest interest in seeing freedom and democracy in America survive.

Average, law-abiding Americans doing something as innocuous as paying off a high-interest credit card bill sets the American Gestapo (Homeland Security) into action snooping into their private finances.

This is the kind of nefarious shit that is typically done by totalitarian regimes intent on cowing and controlling their peasantry by using the levers of governmental power to intimidate, harass and bully.

It is fundamentally Un-American, it's outrageous, it's a blatant abuse of power and it should be illegal!!

What the fuck is happening to this country?? Are we so collectively shitting in our diapers scared of the big bad "evil-doers" that we are willing to allow our government to pry and spy into our personal lives and finances all in the name of some bullshit concept called "Homeland Security?" If a Nazi-like state is what we wish to live in, why don't we just cut to the fucking chase and re-name the Department of "Homeland Security," and call it the "Department of Spying on Normal, Law-Abiding Americans For No Goddamn Rational Reason What-so-Fucking-Ever?"

Here's another story that ties into this one -- your mail may be being read by Bush's spook troops. Some scary shit is happening in The Land of The Free and The Home of The Brave, and unfortunately the cowardly corporate whore media and the scared-shitless bunny pants citizenry are acting as accessories to the crime.

A Reader Attacks -- I Stand My Ground . . .

Well -- it seems one of my posts has managed to get under the skin of someone. For the sake of a good rousing debate, that can't be too bad of a thing. I typically let other's commentary stand as is, however, in this case a response is most decidedly in order.

Here's the commentary left by a fellow named "Steve" who's responding on behalf of a group calling itself "GI's against Sheehan," in response to my Feb. 02, 2006 post "Criminalizing T-shirt wearing followup . . ." :

"You can always tell when you get to close to the truth, because people resort to name calling. I am a true vet of this war in Iraq, if you want proof I will send you a copy of my DD214. And I am deeply offended by your ignorance. Our forefathers didn't give us a democracy, they faught to build a republic. A government without a monorcy and having its supreme power in the citizens. But, as you put it, we have elected representitives that took that power away from us resulting in a democracy. If I am not mistaken, the governmental represintatives in office are not all President Bush backers. It is made up of people from both sides of the issue and it was voted unanimus by both sides to send the military into this war. I would rather got to war for the reasons I was sent, than to be used like a play thing and made a mockery of like the last president did with the military in Samolia, Mogadisue and the missle stricks into Iraq.

And you also forgot the most important part of that oath, as far as I'm concerned, "so help me God." Maybe I'm out of the loop but I have never heard of anyone in American trying to set up a state religion, even though it would do this country a lot of good. But that is my opinion and nothing more. I am not forcing you to believe or do anything you don't whant to. Just like every single military member in todays military was never forced to join. Let me guess though, you joined for the Montgomery GI Bill. That's how you learned all those big words that don't mean a thing. I'm sorry to inform you but it is you who are ignorant to many facts. This is not meant as an insult, ignorance can be cured.

I do not wish to suppress Mrs. Sheehan's opinions or the voicing there of. But just to point out a few things. Does she think she is doing here son an honor by ignoring the fact that he joined of his own free will. Noone made him, you or myself raise our hand and repeat the oath of duty. There were ways he could have gotten out of going to war but he chose to accept his responsibilities like a man and go to war for his country, staying true to the oath he swore. Does she think she is going to bring him back by siding with Gonzales, does she think he will care one bit who her son was when he destroys America like he claims? All she is doing is heaping insult upon the memory of her son, her own husband couldn't take it anymore and left her. She is doing such a dishonor to her son's memory. She would get more sympathy if she would leave her son out of it. Appearently it was not her son's choice to protest the war or he would still be alive.

There are to many ways to get out of going to blame this on the government. If you feel so strongly about our government being as evil and destructive as you say it is, do as the fifty-six men did in 1776. It is your "right, duty to throw of such governments, and provide new guards for your future." But keep this in mind, I have sworn an oath to defend my constitution against such domestic enemies as yourself.Service in Iraq: 7 Dec 03 thru 29 Mar 05, Al Taji, IraqI've looked the Iraqi people in the eyes, both friendly and enemy. I've received hugs from the many greatful people in that country. And I've recieved more grattitude for aliens in this country than from "America Lovers" like you. I've seen the whites of the enemies eyes before I pulled the trigger, so don't talk to me about being a war vet. You lost me at Air Force. Don't get me wrong, many of my friends are in the Air Force, but they will be the first to tell you I have it much harder in the Army than they will ever have it. They seldom have to look at the person that is trying to kill them, nor do they have to clean up the bodies after the fact.

Don't you dare try to come off as a hardened vet until you've spent a year and four months in hell along side me. As far as I'm concerned your not worthy enough to lick my blood covered boot until you can prove other wise. But I digress, I am not an "ass-backwards,brain dead, ****up," as you would call me and my brothers in arms. I am still a free thinker and follow orders. I do what I do because too many people in this country don't have the balls to do it and don't want to face the facts that people like me are needed so people like you and Mrs. Sheehan don't get there tounges cut out. If you believe appeasment will solve all the worlds problems than your more ignorant than I thought. I hope you have a great freedom loving day! HOOAH!"

First off, let it be stated that I admire the writer's actual military service to this country. It's nothing but commendable in every way. Having said that, the primary thrust of my earlier blog entry was aimed at the individuals -- not their military service or the uniformed services. Period.

So here's my response to "Steve" of the group calling themselves -- "GI's against Sheehan":

Well Steve... methinks you use the word "truth" a bit cavalierly don't you? Answer this -- is there truth in your group's claims that Cindy Sheehan is a "known communist?" Is there truth in your group's claims that Cindy Sheehan is "an anti-Semite?" Is there truth in your group's claims that Cindy Sheehan "criticized and downplayed" the victims of Hurricane Katrina? Where is your proof and sources for these vicious accusations?? And please don't respond with links to Rush Limbaugh-esque, right-wing loony toon websites. The fact is - these nasty, unfounded "name-calling" statements by you and your group clearly expose the hypocrisy in your faux concern about my name-calling (which I stand by) and effectively weaken your credibility in the very first sentence of your tirade.

Next you attempt to "school" me on the origins of the American form of government. It's a subject way too lengthy and complicated to get into in this response, but the bottom line is America today is a representative Democracy --- notwithstanding the misinformation the ruling elite in this country have implanted in the minds of those like you. [Click this link] for a bit of history on this subject.

As we move on, you then state -- "I would rather got to war for the reasons I was sent, than to be used like a play thing and made a mockery of like the last president did with the military in Samolia, Mogadisue and the missle stricks into Iraq." The blame Clinton syndrome -- pathetic. First off -- Mogadishu is the capital of Somalia -- it's one and the same issue. Secondly -- you obviously do not know the history of America's intervention in Somalia do you? Bush41 was the President who first committed U.S. troops in that strife-torn country. Clinton inherited Bush41's mess and unfortunately (and I criticize Clinton for this) he initially balked at advisement to not escalate that commitment. But for you to place blame squarely and solely in Clinton's lap for that mistake simply demonstrates your overtly partisan desire to revise history (a hallmark trait of Bush-lovers) and blame others. Here's a link to the Somalia timeline of events - read it and learn something :

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/ambush/etc/cron.html.

And as far as your preferring Bush 43's plethora of lies for sending you to war in Iraq - well, what can be said for someone like you who feels that dying and killing for lies is a worthwhile endeavor? In the interest of brevity for this post, I won't document and source those Bush lies here. However, if you insist on seeing that information, please feel free to e-mail me -- it would be a pleasure to oblige such a request.

We then have your comment stating your belief that a state-sponsored religion (Theocracy) would "do this country a lot of good," -- Wow!! -- all I have to say about that is you are either insane, stupid or a combination thereof. Thankfully (so far) the "so help me God" words tacked on to the end of our military enlistment oath do not negate the the core pledge to "defend the Constitution," -- much to your disappointment I'm sure. I must also point out the absolute absurdity and irreconcilability of your oath to "defend the Constitution," on one hand and your pining for it's destruction on the other by seeing representative Democracy replaced with a repressive, totalitarian biblical Theocracy! Imao! Isn't that one of the many " justifications" for Bush's war on terror?? -- to rid the world of "evil-doers" who would violently force their tyrannical religious beliefs on those who think and believe differently? Geez Steve, you're really beginning to scare me. And you still question why I show disrespect to you and your group of "small-minded" GI buddies??

Following that, you meander off into more ad-hominem attacks on Cindy Sheehan for daring to ask George W. Bush to explain exactly what was the "noble cause" her son and thousands others have perished for. You than drag out the sad fact that Sheehan's husband (Patrick) filed for divorce from her. Of course you left out small details like the fact that the divorce filing was done before Sheehan started her crusade to get the coward Bush to meet with her. Also, you have not mentioned the fact that there does not exist a single public statement from Patrick Sheehan condemning Cindy Sheehan for her valiant efforts to make sense of the tragic death of their soldier son. But it does say something about you personally Steve that you would have to ballyhoo Cindy Sheehan's private life hardships in order to support your deeply flawed and wrong views -- quite manly of you to do so. And of course like all Sheehan haters you lamely make pretend to know what a deceased Casey Sheehan would think of his mother's current mission and actions. You know Steve, where I come from, we have a standard response to people who claim to know what motivates and exists in the minds of dead people -- "you're full of shit."

Consequently, as we read more of your drivel -- I've already addressed the issue of my respect for those who voluntarily put on the military uniform to serve this country. Therefore I'll disregard your immature attempt to use your own combat experiences to belittle my non-wartime Air Force duty. By the way, NOT ONCE did I state or imply in my original post that I personally was "a hardened Vet." Your over-wrought emotions obviously overran your ability to comprehend what I wrote and resulted in that unfair mischaracterization.

Subsequently those immature emotions show themselves once again with this statement: "As far as I'm concerned your not worthy enough to lick my blood covered boot until you can prove other wise." The old blood-covered boot insult!! Noooo -- not that!! Once more, it must be pointed out that by all reasonable evidence up to this moment in time, the reason your boot is covered in blood in Iraq is because George Bush, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove and the military-industrial complex that they slavishly serve lied to you, lied to me and lied to the world about the reasons for invading that country. Where is your Godly morality when it comes to lies that have resulted in the needless and horrific deaths of our brave soldiers and innocent Iraqi civilians. Where?? And yet, that's the type of "ass-backward, brain-dead" (I stand by that charge too) morality you wish to impose upon me with your state-sponsored religion?? Over my dead body pal (I say that with a tinge of fear, knowing full-well that there are many in this country who believe as you do).

Lastly Steve, I never stated or implied "appeasement" toward terrorism as you snidely suggest in your closing harangue. It's a typical right-wing, ReThuglican asshole tactic to smear the patriotism of anyone that disagrees with dear leader Bush on his horrendous decision to invade Iraq and his subsequently inept handling of the Global War On Terror. It must be noted however, that my opinion in that matter is bolstered (unfortunately for all of us) by the latest Bush administration scandal of selling out the operations and security of America's most critical shipping ports to the United Arab Emirates (a country who's government has been infiltrated by Al-Qaeda and who has a history of cozying up to terrorist scum like Bin-Laden and his minions.) Who's appeasing who in that deal Steve??

Well -- I've said my piece, feel free to respond, although I really have nothing more to add to the discussion.

Psycho Hunters!! GOP Style . . .

I'm all for sensible legislation controlling the proliferation of handguns and assault weapons in our communities.

However when I read stories like this one where a Republican moron politician is introducing legislation allowing hunters to carry assault rifles and silencers while hunting, I just shake my head in glassy-eyed amazement. It's because of asinine shit like this that the gun-control crowd tends to go overboard in their efforts to legislate gun possession.

Can any of you "hunters" out there explain to me why the hell someone would have a need to hunt furry critters with a military-grade assault weapon or a silencer?? What kind of hunter is this?? I grew up in the midwest --- I don't ever recall any of the men-folk I was around as a kid shredding their deer or quail with automatic M-16's, or stealthily stalking their squirrels with silencer equipped .50 cals. What kind of fuck-tard, brain dead loser would consider themselves a "hunter" if they needed these types of advanced weaponry?

And of course it comes as absolutely no surprise that it's a Republican pushing this law. It's just another example which proves my long-stated contention that the Republican party has been wholesale hijacked by religious whackos, flag-waving fascists, corrupt corporate puppets and the criminally insane.

Criminalizing T-shirt wearing followup . . .

This is an addendum to the previous post about the Sheehan arrest and attempted squelching of her free speech rights and my response to comments on a USA Today weblog:

I saw several subsequent comments on that same weblog from supposed military personnel criticizing Cindy Sheehan, making malicious accusations against her and basically telling her to shut the fuck up.

One of the comments was supposedly from a group of military personnel who call themselves "GI's against Sheehan." After reading their post, I was first reminded of some of the ass-backward, brain-dead fuckups that I had the displeasure of serving with during my own military service in the Air Force. I could see that nearly 25 years later the military was still inducting some real losers into it's ranks. The second thing I noticed was the writer's lack of mentioning anything about their/his own combat experiences - which made me a tad suspicious. And lastly, the same writer(s) leveled some really nasty personal accusations about Sheehan that the right-wing media scumbags have been floating around amongst their stepford-like worshippers since she burst upon the national scene.

Therefore, being a military vet myself and an amateur government civics buff, I decided to respond to these small-minded military "patriots."

Following is my response in it's entirety and here's the link to the USA Today weblog: [CLICK HERE]

In response to "GI's against Sheehan":

First off -- I don't know if you truly are GI's or not. Anonymous blogging tends to bring many a charlatan out from under their rock.

However, let's assume for the sake of this discourse that you are indeed GI's.

When you joined the military you swore an oath as follows: "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice."

I myself being a proud military veteran remember this oath quite well.

Can any of you "GI's" please explain to me where in that oath does it say a soldier must swear blind ideological or political allegiance to the President of the United States? Obey orders? -- certainly. Abide by military regulations and the UCMJ? Absolutely.

Have any of you ever read the Constitution? Read about the history of it's birth and evolvement into the document it is today? I honestly doubt it.

Shouldn't you be defending Cindy Sheehan's as well as anyone else's right (pro or anti-war) to speak their mind and to "peaceably assemble, and to petition the government for redress of grievances?" You do recognize that phrase don't you? It only happens to be one of the first citizen freedoms the founders of our country saw fit to Amend the Constitution for (Bill of Rights). And lest it be forgotten, you did swear an oath to "defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic.

Have you ever stopped to think about what exactly it is that might constitute a "domestic enemy" of the Constitution? Hmmm. A very important question is it not? What or who is it that might be considered a "domestic enemy" of our cherished Constitution. Let's ponder that for a moment.

Do you think it could refer to government officials or politicians who misuse their political power to actively stifle dissenting voices of the citizenry? To propagandize the press?

Do you think it could refer to those political leaders (who are supposed to be accountable to WE THE PEOPLE) who misuse the intelligence and legal apparatus of the federal government to secretly spy on it's citizenry unlawfully bypassing Congressional or Judicial oversight?

Do you think it might refer to those same political figures who would misuse that unbridled power to facilitate the establishment of a state-sponsored religion?

Do you think it might refer to those in political power who would misuse the legislative process to allow mega-corporations and campaign contributing cronies to dictate and write laws favorable to their bottom line and not accountable to anyone, much less the American people?

Do you think it might refer to those who misuse the levers of executive power to abrogate and trash international treaties and laws and in the process alienating long-standing allies and effectively making America a weaker nation abroad?

And last, but certainly not least:

Do you think it could refer to those who misuse the levers of executive power to pre-emptively wage war against a sovereign nation which has not attacked or threatened us and which has resulted in the horrific deaths of 2245+ brave American soldiers and tens of thousands of innocent civilians??

If you have any sense of decency and honesty about you, you must know the answers to each of those questions is and should be a resounding YES!!

Lastly, you made some very vicious ad-hominem attacks against Cindy Sheehan. You claimed that:

1. She's a known communist.

2. She criticized and downplayed the victims of Hurricane Katrina

3. She is an anti-Semite

It's telling that you didn't provide a single source for any of these gutter-level accusations. As a matter of fact, they are amazingly similar to attacks leveled by other serial liars, right-wing losers and America haters like Rush Limbaugh, G. Gordon Liddy, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Dennis Prager, Bill O'Reilly (anyone at FOX News for that matter), etc.... --- unfortunately that slimeball list is much too long to cover in this exchange.

Based on that brief analysis therefore -- at this point the natural skeptic in me takes over and begins to think that perhaps you are not "GI's" at all. That you are nothing but a phony, right-wing, Bush boot-licking toady who's only agenda is smearing an honest decent American simply because you don't like the fact that she has the moral courage to speak out truthfully and openly about the corrupt and lying government that is responsible for (albeit refuses to acknowledge it) her son's and many other American's sons and daugthers deaths.

Finally -- my initial inclination was to pity you. But I quickly disposed of that worthless feeling, so therefore I don't. I actually despise you. It's freedom haters like you who are destroying America within along with our glorious Democracy. And if you truly are "GI's", God help us. Because your heart is not faithful to the oath you swore allegiance to. No. Your allegiance, and dare I say worship, is with lying politicians and their anti-democracy ideologies. The United States Constitution means absolutely nothing to you.

America's military deserves better human beings and better citizens than you in it's ranks.

Bush Monarchy criminalizes T-shirt wearing . . .

War protestor and mother of dead soldier, Cindy Sheehan, was arrested yesterday in the U.S. Capitol gallery prior to Preznit Chimpy McSphincter's SOTU address. The heinous crime? Daring to wear a T-shirt with the printed slogan "2245 Dead. How many more?" on it.

Now, it's a known fact that Cindy Sheehan has an effect on the right-wing, war-mongering Rethuglicans like a saguaro cactus being forcefully shoved up their faux-patriot asses. Nothing gets them more foaming at the mouth vicious than a distraught and angry mother publicly demanding her government (in this case the Bush cabal) to explain why her child died in a war based on lies and deceit.

USA Today ran a short article (fairly innocuous) about the arrest of Sheehan, and in the comments section for that article, the bat-shit insane Bush boot-lickers came out in full force calling Sheehan everthing from an "Al Qaeda mom," "Baghdad Cindy," and a "stupid woman". Thankfully, it appears, these yellow-bellied, fascist Republican turds are a minority as the Sheehan and just plain free speech supporter's comments quickly overwhelmed their putrid vitriol.

Anyhow, I took a moment and added my own comment. It's printed here in it's entirety:

To all the Cindy Sheehan haters who smugly and aristocratically sniff about the "appropriate" time and place for a citizen to exercise their constitutionally protected right to free speech -- you're ignorance of the birth and growth of American Democracy is simply astounding.

In 1773, when 3 separate companies of 50 men each, masquerading as Mohawk Indians, boarded 3 of Britain's King George's ships anchored in Boston Harbor, broke open the tea chests therein, and summarily heaved them overboard into the water -- was that the "appropriate" time for them to dissent against the British repression?? Perhaps they should've taken into consideration the sensitivities of poor King George and waited until a time more convenient for the Redcoats and the royalty they slavishly served??

America's own, modern-day royalty, King George the 43rd, is a similar hollow figure of a man and leader (if he can even be called either). All of his public appearances are highly scripted and staged events, complete with carefully screened and advisor approved worshippers who ask scripted fluffball questions and robotically applaud on cue every time their dear leader mouths empty phrases and even emptier promises. All in all it's a bizarre Orwellian exercise methodically designed to not upset the boy King and his royal court of kingly minions.

Contrarily, outside of these phony "public" events, anyone who wishes to exercise the "right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances" is usually herded into a small chain link cage far enough away from the "public" venue so that once again, the Boy King is not subjected to any viewpoints other than those that sing his glorious and kingly praise.

Cindy Sheehan is a citizen of this country. She had every right to be in that gallery last night. She had, and still has, every right to "peaceably assemble and petition the Bush adminstration for a redress of grievances." And she has the right to do so at any public venue, anywhere!

And by God if that isn't agreeable to you Sheehan haters/Bush supporters, I seriously suggest that just maybe it is all of you who are the modern-day Redcoats and oppressors of Democracy and freedom!!

I strongly urge you all to re-familiarize yourselves with the history of Democracy in this country. You just might learn a thing or two.

Long live The Constitution and Bill of Rights!!!

The Vote Counters . . . Stealing Democracy One Vote at a Time . . .

"Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything."

—Communist Tyrant and mass murderer Josef Stalin (attributed)

So who's been counting votes in America's national elections over the past 6 years? The American people had better open their eyes and start asking that question and asking it loudly.

The "hanging chad" nightmare in Florida in 2000 demonstrated to the world that the United States is not the bastion of fair and honest elections it's claimed to be for so long.

There have been many (Click Here) documented voting anomolies in national elections since that 2000 Florida theft.

What's amazing, I say amazing because it's so goddamn obvious and the absolutely worthless mainstream media seems oblivious to it, is that in nearly every documented case of voting irregularities that I've read about over the past 6 years, the outcome invariably ends up benefitting the Republican candidate!!

Coincidence the fascist Rethuglicans crow!! Democrat Sour grapes they bleat!! Sore Loserman they screech!!!

BULL FUCKING SHIT!!!!! I say.

In 2003 you had the CEO of Diebold systems -- a company whose electronic voting machines were counting approximately 30% of votes in national elections by 2004 -- sending a fund-raising letter to Repugs stating that he was "committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year." Of course we all know now that George W. Bush won Ohio by a very slim margin amidst numerous allegations of voter disenfranchisement and voting irregularities -- all once again benefitting the Republican candidate (Bushit). And also, once again, the Ohio Secretary of State and Elections Supervisor, Kenneth Blackwell, like his Stepford counterpart Katherine Harris in Florida in 2000, pulled double duty as the chair of the Ohio Bush/Cheney re-election campaign. Will wonders never cease??

So -- at this point this latest story about the state of Alaska trying to keep the results of the 2004 election hidden is no surprise. Reported discrepancies have triggered a request from the Alaskan Democrats to have an independent review of those results. The state of Alaska is refusing on the grounds that Diebold is making the BULLSHIT claim that their proprietary software code will be compromised if they allow anyone to see those results. So in other words, because the election machine manufacturer is making some horseshit claim about it's software code being possibly stolen, the American people have no right to verify the accuracy of their own elections!!! Can we say BANANA REPUBLIC??? How fucking bat-shit insane is that proposition??

Anyhow -- read the article and tell me these pricks don't have something to hide.

Bushies play dumb about Abramoff . . . Media pretends not to notice . . .

You've got to wonder at what point the mainstream media will finally come to the realization that their 5 year mission to provide political cover for our Simian frat-boy president and his con-artist handlers in the GOP is no longer fooling a majority of Americans.

Contrary to desperate GOP dissembling and spin and right-wing, blowhard pundits falling all over themselves trying to paint the Abramoff scandal as a bi-partisan affair, all evidence at this point simply proves what brazen liars they all are.

Uber-crook Abramoff was a former national leader of the College Republicans; he's worked for Republicans all of his post college career; he's made numerous public statements re: his commitment to see Republicans and only Republicans elected to political office; Tom Delay, Mel Blount and other high ranking Republicans spent alot of time around Abramoff and his criminal enterprise, milking it for every penny they could get there grubby GOP hands on; Abramoff kicked in a cool $120k to the Bush/Cheney re-election campaign and was awarded the lofty/elite title of "Bush Pioneer" -- a title only for those fat-cat donors who stuffed Bush's pockets with $100k or more in campaign cash; Jack Abramoff and his associates paid more than 200 visits to the White House since the crooked Shrub/Dick regime stole their way into power; and now the White House refuses to reveal the details surrounding those visits -- what are they hiding??

If the mainstream media in this country wasn't a bought and paid for bunch of whores, they'd be demanding answers as to the reason for each and every Abramoff visit to the White House.

All I know is this -- when the revolution comes -- these worthless, democracy-hating media sons of bitches ought to be the first bunch flogged in the public square. I only hope I get my turn to do some of that flogging.
