Does anyone believe that once the Republicans gained control of all branches of government that they wouldn't begin to put safeguards in place placing themselves above the law??

Silly people.

Passing legislation changing the rules to protect one of your leaders in the event they are criminally indicted has got to be the mother of all hypocrisy as well as the classic definition of absolute corruption.
