Idiocracy . . .

You know -- I don't deny that most, if not all, of these people believe sincerely in the things that they state in these interviews.

That sincerity in and of itself is not a bad thing and it is not what concerns me.

My problem is with the thought process behind their thinking and the poisonous effect which external influences such as Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Fox News, fundamentalist Christianity, etc., have had on that critical process.

Honestly -- how can you watch this video clip and NOT be of the belief that something is terribly, frighteningly, darkly wrong with this picture?:





The idea of mandating that voters pass a standard IQ and civics test before being allowed to vote doesn't sound so unreasonable after watching something like that. Really it doesn't.
