Mavericky Horror . . . .

This has got to be the scariest, creepiest Halloween mask I've seen yet.

Just saying . . .

Oh For Fox Sake!

While I consistently put up posts pointing out the fact that Fox News is not really in the business of providing News, I'm not funny about it. Jon Stewart is funny about it. Just watch, laugh and learn.

More Sexual Shenanigans from Conservative Republicans . . .

SANCHEZ: Hey, Roge, let's see how good a move we can make over to the Twitter board real quick, because a lot of people are commenting on this. There it is. Start from the bottom if we can.

Hug bug, "What is in the water in South Carolina?" Now, let's go just above that, where it says, "Another politician with a sex scandal, that is so common nowadays and they're supposed to be role models? Ha!"

We get what you're saying, folks

Let's talk about that. Just last week, I asked this question, what's up with South Carolina Republicans? Beginning with Mark Sanford, the famously wayward governor, why can't they seem to be staying out of trouble these days? There's Governor Sanford, there's Congressman Joe "Big Scream You Lie" Wilson. We just had two county chairmen who essentially said Jews are good with money.

And as if on cue now, we have Roland Corning. Who is Roland Corning, you ask? He's a former state legislator, and as of now, his latest performance, former assistant attorney general. Why?

Get this -- a police report obtained by the "Associated Press" is saying that Corning was questioned by an officer after speeding away from a cemetery with a stripper in his car, and with a bag of sex toys. And with some Viagra, Corning, I should tell you, is 66 years old. According to the police: the stripper, 18 years old. She works, by the way, at an establishment known as the Platinum Gentleman's Club.

What's in the South Carolina water?

Frankly, I think the more pertinent question would/should be, why can't family values spouting conservatives keep their shlongs in their pants, and since they can't, what the fuck gives them the right to preach to others about their sexual proclivities?

Just asking . . .

P.S. --- I know it's Halloween and all, but what's up with the Viagra, sex toys, and a 66 year old man with an 18 year old stripper in a cemetery? IMAO. Now that's fucking freaky and creepy!

The Sins of the Father --- propagated by the Daughter . . .

Only someone with the last name of Cheney could stoop to the level of manufacturing straight-faced controversy out of Obama's trip to Dover AFB yesterday to greet and honor the returning caskets of the 18 U.S. military personnel killed in Afghanistan Monday.

Liz Cheney, on Fox News (where else - right?) Radio's John Gibson Show yesterday:

"I think that what President Bush used to do is do it without the cameras. And I don't understand sort of showing up with the White House Press Pool with photographers and asking family members if you can take pictures. That's really hard for me to get my head around...It was a surprising way for the president to choose to do this."

It is interesting, although not the least bit surprising, that the apples don't fall far from the scumbag tree in Dick Cheney's orchard. Liz Cheney appears to have the same penchant for pathological lying as her unscrupulous father.

The reason I make that stark assessment is because there is no evidence whatsoever that Bush himself ever showed up to greet fallen soldiers on their final journeys home from the Bush/Cheney wars. In fact CBS's Mark Knoller reported yesterday, Obama was the first president to visit arriving dead at Dover during the wars in Afghanistan or Iraq -- meaning that when it came to taking trips to Dover like Obama did yesterday morning, Bush never used to "do it" at all.

As I stated -- like father, like hellspawn.

If you can stomach it, here's Liz channeling her dad, the Dick:

Pat "Liberals are responsible for 9/11!" Robertson Belcheth . . .

Pat Robertson was on his CBN (Christian or Crazy Broadcast Network) yesterday excoriating Obama for signing the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act into law.

The phony old coot slurred this gem over the airwaves:

PAT ROBERTSON: The noose has tightened around the necks of Christians to keep them from speaking out on certain moral issues.

Yeah - sure Pat. Because God fucking knows that if there's one group of people in this country that have perennially suffered the burden of oppression and social marginalization it's mainstream Christians. (rolls eyes and shakes head in disbelief)

Perhaps if more "good Christians" like Pat Robertson actually practiced the core teachings that Jesus taught, there'd be no need to pass laws such as this. But then again, I'm convinced that if these right-wing Christians actually ever bothered to learn Christ's core philosophy, they'd brand him a socialist, commie-pinko, hippie, bleeding-heart liberal and probably decide to re-write the bible themselves to remove all of the compassionate, humane, progressive teachings that Jesus advocated. Oh wait -- that's right! They're already doing that!

How did such a great country as America end up with deceitful, fraudulent losers like this asshole Robertson and his ilk viewed as community "leaders" and "voices of the people?" What went so horribly wrong?

Depressing.

Lieberman and Bayh show off their credentials as Health Insurance industry whores . . .

I would lose not a wink of sleep nor experience a single furrowed brow if in the next election both Democratic Senators Joe "Schmuck" Lieberman and Evan "Shmuck Jr." Bayh were to be tossed out of office. Hell, I wouldn't even care if they were defeated by Republicans.

As the old saying goes, with backstabbing friends like Lieberman and Bayh who the hell needs enemies?

Get rid of them.

Oh -- and you can add Blanche Lincoln, Mary Landrieu and Ben Nelson to that list as well.

The Limblob Belcheth . . .

The following audio clip amply demonstrates why I'm of the opinion that Rush Limbaugh is a piece of human shit and why I have no respect for his feeble-minded, cowardly, ditto-head followers.

BTW --- I'm glad the NFL told "El Rushbo" to go take a flying leap into Lake Fuck Off And Die in his bid to become part owner of the St. Louis Rams football team.

Awww! Fox News got a booboo! Poor babies!

Apparently the old adage about the only way to fight a bully is to punch them in the nose is true.

To those of us who've actually been paying fucking attention these past several years, the recent, long overdue acknowledgement by the Obama administration that Fox News is nothing more than a media propaganda outlet and political arm of the Republican National Committee and the conservative movement in general is the quintessential motive for use of the phrase "better late than never."

How anyone who claims to be of reasonable mind and sound intellect can sit and watch a 24 hour cycle of Fox News and still feel compelled to run out and propagate the clownish claim that they indeed are "Fair and Balanced," is inexplicable to me.

Listen! This isn't difficult folks. All Fox and Roger Ailes have to do is just fucking admit to the obvious which is that they exist to propagandize on behalf of conservatives and the GOP in general and be done with it! But no -- they insist on perpetuating the big lie about who they are and what they do and so they bring the attacks on their integrity and honesty upon themselves.

Up until now it's been mostly liberal bloggers and a sprinkling of MSM journos who've been pointing out the Elephant in the Fox News studio. But now that someone of a bit more hefty stature (The President of The United States) has joined that chorus, poor, defenseless Fox is now running around screaming 'foul' and crying on any shoulder they can find. Oh the humanity!!

Like I said -- what Obama and his aides are doing in drawing a line in the sand when it comes to Fox is long, long, long overdue. And the more the Fox talking heads stomp their little feet, clench their fists and scream red-faced about how they are being treated unfairly --- well --- just watch this video clip and then laugh heartily right in theirs and their supporter's phony fucking faces.

Sickening . . .

All the more reason to expand Medicare and/or pass a robust public health care option, or even better yet, a single payer program like most of the modern, industrialized and civilized countries of the world have.

These leech-like insurance companies serve no socially or morally redeeming purpose what-so-fucking-ever. It's stories like this one, of which I tire of reading about every single day, that has me believing that the sole purpose for the existence of health care insurance corporations appears to be enriching the few at the expense of the quality of life and financial health of the many.

Mary Lloyd's husband was lying in the intensive care unit of an Arizona hospital when she got a good look at their new health insurance card for the first time.

Then she got the shock of her life. The card read: "This is NOT an insurance card."

For the retired couple from East Bethel, it was the beginning of a financial nightmare that left them with at least $50,000 in unpaid medical bills. They discovered that the new "health plan," they signed up for in January, for $499 a month, wouldn't pay for any of his medical care.

K.O.

I like MSNBC's Keith Olbermann, although I have to admit, his bombastic delivery sometimes makes me cringe. When Keith is at his best though, he ratchets the bombast down a notch or two and just rakes the idiot conservatards over the coals with truthiness -- exactly like he does in this video clip.

It's been a few months since I put up an Olbermann clip, but this one is worth a viewing.

Beck and Coulter -- The Gruesome Twosome . . .

How much more evidence is needed to prove that the right wing conservatives in this country are just flat out bug-shit insane?

What's that you say? You're still not entirely convinced?

Hmmmm -- fair enough. Pehaps this might help you make a determination one way or the other.

or,

I rest my case.

What's a little tyranny among friends? . . .

I don't know -- call me krazee or warped -- especially considering my publicly stated anti-war beliefs -- but I'm still convinced to this day that America attacked the wrong country after 9/11.

This story is reason enough to make me feel that way, but perhaps it also has something to do with the fact that 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia and that has always made me ponder the possibility that maybe -- just maybe -- Rumsfeldian shock and awe should have been visited upon the Saudi Arabia Royal compounds instead of a defanged and defenseless Iraq.

I suppose I'm being much too unrealistic though, especially knowing that the Bush Family and the Saudi Royal Family were basically one big crude (as in oil) Family. Hell, the Bushies had even virtually adopted one of the Saudi Royals into their clan and had proudly bestowed upon him the lovely nickname of "Prince Bandar Bush".

If I recall, after Iraq had been invaded and the dreaded Weapons of Mass Destruction turned out to be the neo-con's and Dick Cheney's collective wet dream, the justification for the invasion by the Bushistas instantly morphed into the noble, American flag-draped cause of saving the beloved Iraqi people from the oppressive terror of the evil borg tyrant Saddam. The grateful Iraqis would throw flowers at us and kiss our dusty combat boots! Remember that?

Of course, that crock of pseudo-patriotic bullshit went over quite well with the Fox Noize bozos and their rube viewers along with the rest of the media lapdogs who cheered on the Bushies as they marched into Baghdad and choreographed that cute little skit of toppling Saddam's statue. Yet, any C+ student of mid-east history could have told you that the Iraqi people under Saddam had a better quality of life and more freedoms than Saudi citizens any hour of the day and any day of the week and by and large were fairly content with the way the admittedly brutal Saddam was keeping the Shiites and the Sunnis from each other's throats.

Alas, there was no shock and awe fire-bombing and invasion to free the Saudi people. That charming honor was reserved solely for the Iraqis.

The bottom line is -- as the article about the woman reporter being sentenced to 60 lashes referenced above connotes, the Saudis run just as brutal and arguably a more brutal and oppressive regime than Saddam could ever dream of. The nationality of the majority of the 9/11 hijackers was Saudi. Those facts are only in dispute from ignorant know-nothings who get their news from Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity.

Can somebody, anybody, please coherently explain to me why the Saudi government is still considered an American "ally?" Perhaps the CEO's and shareholders of Exxon-Mobil, Texaco, ConocoPhilips, Shell/BP and Chevron can answer that question for us?

What kind of Kafkaesque argument can be mounted in defense of a government that thinks this is an appropriate method of dealing with those citizens who dare question the validity of their state-sponsored superstition?:

[Saudi state ordered beheading of an "infidel"]

I'm not trying to be difficult here -- well, maybe I am, but it's what I do. I just want someone to rationally explain to me why it is that Iraq was worth expending 5000 American lives, hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilian lives, looting the American taxpayer's treasury, and irreparably damaging America's national honor and world image on. Yet Saudi Arabia goes merrily on it's tyrannical way. What's wrong with that picture?
