This is what happens when a society allows ignorance and ideological idiocy to have a controlling influence over the democratic and legislative process.A good policy that would have benefited many individuals and families tossed onto the trash heap because a small (albeit vocal) MINORITY of misinformed citizens, egged on by some very dishonest and sleazy media assholes, and supported by some equally dishonest and sleazy politicians, stomped their little feet, threw public tantrums and threatened to take all the toys (even ones not belonging to them) and go home.
A sad, fucking pathetic day.
